I received these today and so far so good they straightened it really good I did put them up full as I always do but as I have short hair it not take long to straighten I want to test them a bit longer to give full review and mayb a short video

I have used many straighteners over the years and I have got to say that these worked great with my extremely thick hair!Amazing value too!

This hair iron not only works as a straightener but can also be used as a curler.It has a rounded shape for creating a variety of curls. It lessens the hassle of carrying separate irons for different purposes, so she’s very happy there. She also said it heats fast and doesn’t dry up her hair. As for using it for curling, she said it is easy to use as they are lightweight, which makes it so easy to twist.With that said, my daughter finds this as a good value for money. It is also reasonably priced considering its dual uses.

I ordered these hair straighteners for when I travel as they looked lightweight and am really impressed with them.They arrive in an attractive box with a few nice extras including hair clips, a glove, and a grey coloured pouch to keep them in, although the pouch is quite small so you would struggle to get the cord/plug in which is a shame. They are an attractive pink color and the 360° swivel cord is a decent length.They heat up very quickly (45 seconds) and there are just the three buttons to worry about, on/off and the temperature +/- buttons. It can heat up to 232°c but I have thin hair so kept it at about 170°c which worked a treat.The plates are made with crushed tourmaline gemstones incorporated and there were no snagging issues. I don't curl my hair usually but I was able to curl the ends. The grip is good and they are very easy to use.There is dual voltage for worldwide use.At present they are £36.49 which I think is about right price wise. The pouch should have been bigger but otherwise no issues and can see myself getting a lot of use out of them.

As curlers, they gave more of a wave look but it didn't hold that well.All in all, for the price, (£38.66 at the time of writing) I think they are very reasonable.

These aren’t bad but I can’t say they are any better than my 16 year old Herstyler straighteners I bought at a stall in a shopping mall. I tried using these at the same time as my old ones so I could swap between them to compare.These ones are very light in weight and heat up quickly but because the outside is completely smooth rather than having any ridges for a grip, it does get very hot so you will need the glove that’s included.I have very thick, long hair and I rarely use straighteners because it takes so long to do. I was hoping as these should be 30 degrees hotter than my old ones and that maybe technology had moved on a bit, I could take larger pieces at a time; but that wasn’t the case.I don’t know if ghd’s are still considered the best. Sadly I don’t own any to go a direct comparison! But these will be far cheaper than ghd’s and they do the job ok but I think it’s maybe one of those things where you get what you pay for.I did find, when curling my hair, there’s a bit too much play in the hinge. That doesn’t feel right and I am not certain how long they would last if you were curling with them often so that the hinge gets wiggled around- see my photo where the plates aren’t aligned.But they’re not bad for the price. If you have a regular amount of hair on your head rather than looking like cousin IT they’re probably good! Nicely packaged with helpful extras of a glove and clips.Just not the best for very thick hair.
