Doro 7196 - CHARGER CRADLE 65XX SERIES - IN

I bought this item for an elderly relative (95) so it had to be simple to use.Since it was introduced there have not been any issues or queries from the user so it meets the need. This replaces a slightly earlier model that was also trouble free until the telephone it was for broke. Unfortunately although the phones were nominally the same model the connector positions had changed so it did not match with the cradle design. Therefore the new one was required to maintain service. The need for a new design cradle means that the item is more expensive than it needed to be.

I bought this to charge my new mobile phone. It came quickly, worked straight out of the box and looks very neat. It was just a matter of taking the charging cord that came with the phone and plugging it into the charging cradle instead of the phone. Then just sit the phone into the cradle bit. SHAZZAMMMM.

Is ideal for allowing a hassle free charge when your fingers are arthritic. Seems a bit expensive at about half the price I paid for the phone

The cradle eliminates the awkward fiddling about trying to get the small usb connector into the mobile phone . I would highly recommend it to anyone with arthritic hands or partially sighted . After saying that I would recommend it to everyone because of its ease to use ability. It does not come with a lead but the one used for the charging of the phone before is good to use.

Got this charging cradle for my Doro 6520 phone. Cradle works well, just drop the phone into it, switch on the electric wall socket, and start charging. Gripe is the price. At £20.90 that's pushing towards being nearly half the price of the phone itself - so the price is a pure rip-off. I would say, for what the cradle is, a tenner would be a fair price. Better still I would say that Doro should include the cradle with the phone and just put a tenner onto the price of the phone plus cradle combination.

Great item, extremely well made and works well. However it loses points because it is overpriced and ridiculously over-packaged. Seriously it does not need that quantity packaging, two cardboard, plus two plastic containers. Add the cardboard box the Amazon used to send it through the post and it's not far short of an environmental disaster. Get with the message people? Stick a tenner on the price of the phone and include the damned thing.

Expensive but it works. The wire connection of the Doro 6520 was not working, but by used the existing cable we connected to the cradle and charging was very fast. Much easier way of charging by putting in cradle rather than fiddling with a mini USB, but why doesn't Doro add a cable to the cradle. it would make life easier for those whose original cable was broken.

This cradle negates the need to connect the phone to the charging lead with the tiny, fiddly connection. Simply leave the cradle plugged in (for example; in your bedroom) and pop the phone into the cradle to charge. This cradle works well and would have been given 5 stars if it had been more realistically priced.
