You will thank me
You know those job where you really done have the tool to complete the work. This is one of those tools that was a god send. Really sorted out the cross thread in sockets

Does the job.
Needed to rethread fixing in a plug socket. Did the job!

Useful but a little short and fat
Bought this to repair damaged threads on two recently tiled in pattress box. One of the boxes had badly damaged two brass screws, but the tool recut the threads well with little effort. It's made of high speed steel, so should last if used on mild steel boxes. The tool is essentially a taper tap wedged into a predrilled handle - the square end of the tap is clearly visible through the plastic. I dropped a star because the handle is about 17mm wide at the bottom and only 25mm away from where the thread has finished tapering. For use where a pattress is normally sited this won't be a problem, but where more than about 15mm has been added to a wall (thick tiles in my case) it could make it tricky to use - for me it was just on the limit. On the plus side, it was small enough for me to use without having to disconnect the sockets, though as David Bailey noted, a longer (and thinner) handle would have made it easier.

Not the same as in the picture and unusable
I received a different one compared to what I ordered. And when using it for the first time today it is unusable. When you go to thread it, the metal part just spins within the handle so is completely useless!!

Useful
Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Just need to make one the length of an actual screwdriver so I don’t keep losing it!

Does the job
The tool could do with being a little longer to get round socket outlets and other fittings in situ, but it is sufficient for the job without being over engineered. Typical Draper quality, cheap and cheerful. Professionals might find the need for something better. For me who only occasionally has to remove and replace sockets for decorating or maybe do the odd extension, it is fine and the price is right.

Actually m3.5, not m3.
I wanted a M3 thread restorer, but it was actually a 3.5mm, which I had already. Still, it is a good back-up, if the original one breaks.
