Have I missed where it says how many needles there are on the bed?

There are 200 needles each on both the single bed machine and on the ribber bed as well if purchased. Hope this helps.

Can you knit Fairisle on this machine? I know nothing about them, but have been asked to find out.. I am looking for a machine for tank tops.

Yes you can. There are instructions in the box with the machine together with a set of pattern cards. Regards.

does this come with a lace attatchment?

thank you for your email, unfortunately this does not come with a lace attachment. Please call our sales team on 0208 236 1520 for more assistance.

Will the machine knit a fine wool i.e. cashmere or mohair?

not tried, but the machine is happier with less chunky wools, so i would imagine so
