I like it But....
They didn't work for me. I mounted them on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown and I wanted to still use and see the stock sights but I could not see them through the holes. This mount was also way too high and I decided not to live with them and get the low mounts because since I was shooting a .22LR at close range I will probably have problems with parallax and I was actually lifting my head off the comb of the stock. I decided to get the low profile version of these and they work great for my application. The screw mounts and quick, tight, and secure. They make a six screw clamp if you need a really heavy duty clamp on your optic. Happy shooting. Cheers.UPDATE 3/5/13Just a Note on my particular application on a Ruger 10/22 TAKEDOWN. I got the rifle because It can be taken apart and get smaller and is great for travel, hiking, and camping However, with a scope on Rifle (Nikon with .22LR BDC) the rifle Does NOT fit in supplied bag anymore. I have three options of which I don't like. 1)get a smaller scope that I do not need to remove to fit in bag but I like the scope) 2) Get a different bag that is bigger (but I the stock bag) 3) take the scope off everytime which is easy enough and there is plenty of room it the bag but the scope is off zero ever so slightly every time I mount and dismount (It makes this fairly accurate rifle a little less accurate and a chore to shoot. I'll let you know what I decide. For now rifle has been staying in one piece and going in a full size case. Not very practical for a TakeDown.Hope this helps. Good luck.

These things grip your scope tight!
I bought a new scope and decided to give the UTG rings a try since the reviews were so good and they cost WAY less than what I normally buy. I made a huge mistake though. I bought a couple scopes. One scope was a 40mm and one is a 50. The "medium UTG rings and the 50mm Sig scope are not a good match. The scope rests right on the rail. I know better I just didn't think about it when I ordered. So I bought the high scope and it clears just fine now. The mount secures tight to the rail and grips my scope like a child to his favorite toyThe Good:1. The Price2. Build quality seems good3. THey tighten up very well to the rail4. They tighten very well to the scope5. They adjust quicklyConclusion"Im really pleased with the rings and very much recommend them

Impressed
I mounted a Nikon on my M4 using these rings. It's rugged and looks the part, and holds the scope securely. Follow instructions! Make sure you get the tension just right on the quick release lever, and do be careful unscrewing the adjustment bolts, which are really tiny. The thing I enjoyed about it the most is being able to take the scope off the rifle without tools, for cleaning. It's so quick and easy to remove and remount the scope. Make sure you mark the mounting rail so you can reposition the scope in the same place in the mounting rail, so that you won't have to zero the sights again. These UTG scope rings are so good, I went and bought another pair for my sniper scope to mount on my 7.62 FAL rifle.

Very substantial product, low cost
These are an extremely burly set of rings that perform as well as many of the premium branded rings. They are well made with a few surmountable exceptions. They are like many Chinese products ,close but not perfect. In this case they required a bit of finagling and a few expletives to get the clamp on one ring to slip on the picatinny type rail. Working the clamping nut hard against the staking got it free enough to mount. The clamping nuts are sort of wing nuts that can be tightened by hand pressure, but you had better check them periodically, because like any other clamping mechanism, they can work loose as mine did. The nice part of the clamping nut is the holes in each wing that will accept an allen wrench or nail and can be used to really clamp down or to loosen when more refined tools aren't available. Quality at a great price.
These rings are the right height for mounting a tactical scope on a flattop upper. You will need additional height to mount a scope with a 40 mm or larger objective. They lock into place with no change of zero during shooting and can be removed and replaced with no shift in zero. The price for this quality product is great! While they work perfectly, I would have preferred to have a QD lever arrangement. But, using a small allen wrench as a lever locks and unlocks these quite well with only a minor inconvenience.

Super strong and Secure!
UTG's stuff is just awesome, and these rings are no exemption. They hold my rifle scope nice and tight, and with four screws instead of the traditional two this scope is going no were. The fact that they are raised make it easier to work the bolt on my rifle.A huge plus for me is the you can detach your scope rather quickly, even compared to the "Quick Detach" scope rings. And for $15 they are a steal.I would recommend this to anyone who want a raise scope ring that is strong, cheap, and if you have one anything with Picatinny rails.

Quality mid range scope rings
Feels good not to heavy but robust. I like the fact that they put the grip tape all around the bore where the scope interfaces so there is no pressure points. The spring tensioned clamps are nice so I'm not fussing with them to get out of the way when mounting and finding my eye relief.

Good rings
I’ve used these rings without issue before. This time I mounted them on a Stag 10 and I must have overtightened the rings - I rounded one hex head. It doesn’t seem as if the hex they send with the rings are a good fit. I tried one of my own hex wrenches and it fit better. Still good rings and I’ll buy them again. I’ll just be more cautious with the torque.
