Compact quiet travel shaver - EDITED...
I have only had this 4 days but have used it every day and it is a quick and easy way to shave. It doesn't seem to drag or cause any irritation, but it might do if your face isn't completely dry. I wouldn't use it too soon after a shower. It shaves pretty close, but not quite as close as a wet shave, so is ideal for an 'in between' tidy up. It is too soon to tell how long it will last but if you register online within 28 days you get 3 years warranty. As it is meant to be a travel charger it probably isn't intended for every day use. I haven't run the battery down yet but they claim a fully charged one should run for 30 minutes. The first charge from new needs 24 hours and it takes 8 hours to charge after that. They recommend running it flat every 6 months and then give it 24 hours again. Being a very quiet runner it gives the impression of not being very powerful but it didn't slow down whilst using it. It is a bit of a fiddle cleaning it properly but a few light taps of the shaving head on the edge of the sink and most of the clippings fall out ready for a quick brush. Overall I am pleased with my purchase, but time will tell. A few other reviewers report early failures.EDIT December 2024...6 years later and it is still going strong. I use it regularly, the head is still intact, and a charge still lasts for ages.

Handy little shaver for light use, but don't expect a travel pouch, as there isn't one!
First thing to mention is that although this shaver is advertised on Amazon as coming with a travel pouch, it definitely doesn't. Amazon need to update their wording, as it is clear that the manufacturer has never supplied this item with a travel pouch, which is a bit of a shame as it would protect it when jammed in a sponge bag in the suitcase. However, the shaver itself is compact, light & nice to handle, although I don't think the actual shave is as close as the equivalent Phillips shavers I've had in the past. However, the on-off switches always failed on those, which is why I'm trying this Remington. I've actually got a trimmed beard, so only need this to shave around the edges, so am not really in a position to give a review as to it's action or battery life when doing a full shave, but so far the battery life seems fine, & the shave is cerainly good enough for my purposes. Here's hoping that the on-off switch lasts longer than the Phillips!

Excellent value for money
I wrote this about the R91 back in 2012 and it could equally apply to the R95:I've found this shaver good for travelling, it's light and the charge lasts at least a fortnight, and gives an acceptable shave. To clarify a couple of points. It is mains or battery but is not supplied with a recharge adaptor, you would have to buy one separately. Also, it does not have a side burns trimmer, which I find a bit of a nuisance. A perhaps trivial point is that there is no case supplied and the head protector comes of easily in a toilet bag (This has been cured for the R95 and the head protector stays on more frimly).I have only had to buy a new shaver because I dropped the R91 once to often and the case cracked. I hope the R95 gives such good service.

A great portable razor
This is I think, the fourth of these small, portable Remington razors that I have bought over the years. That should tell you everything.Providing that you do not have a Desperate Dan beard, this little rechargeable is great.Small, lightweight and with a good, smooth cut, it is all that most people would ever need.It charges quickly, and holds that charge well (easily enough for two weeks holiday), is easy and simple to disassemble and put back together for cleaning.Based on past experience it lasts me about two to three years. All this for the cost of one large pack of wet shave razor blades. You will need a shaver plug adaptor to charge it if you don't have a built in bathroom shaver point.Highly recommended.

A good small travel shaver
3 stars may be a little unfair as this is a travel shaver and so it should not really be compared to other shavers. The good thing for me is that it is small and light - there is a head cover and it just goes in my 'odds and ends' bag along with other stuff like chargers/cables/euro adapter etc when I am travelling (I travel 'light' and my normal shaver takes up too much room plus adds too much weight). It of course only needs a shaver cable to charge (but be aware that this is the standard UK shaver plug and in many other countries you will need an adapter). The actual shave it provides is OK but not as close as my normal remingtons and it does take more time. Because it takes up more time I found that the charge ran out after 4 days so taking the cable is necessary for more than a weekend away.

Super shaver
This is a super shaver for the price. Cheaper than blades! Does the job perfectly, but just trimming around my beard, so I don't know how it would deal with full shave or hard stubble. It is very lightweight and ideal for those on the move. It is a shame there is no travel pouch, but that is easily rectified. Battery life is around two weeks. The heads are colour coded for matching up - nice touch. Overall, a good buy.

Nice little travel razor
Bought for Regular shaving. I tend to prefer 2 bladed smaller razors and I have a battery powered Phillips in addition. This is really light and an 8 hour charge lasts a good few days. I use it most days. It’s a good shave. It’s not the most ergonomic design but it’s fine. Really easy to clean.Well worth the money. It’s paid for itself already after a few weeks if you consider the cost of wet shaving (this is just dry btw).

Bargain electric razor that is fit for purpose
This razor is a bargain. A shaver adapter is required in order to put in a 3 pin Uk plug, so keep that in mind. It appears very well made, it’s light and is comfortable in the hand, in use. I tend to have a beard, but at work, I need to shave if I go to a area that has the possibility of COVID 19 present, in order for any masks to have en effective seal. The handiness of this razor is, therefore, a key selling point for me. Combined with a beard trimmer, this has enabled me to shave without experiencing razor rash. I recommend this item whole heartedly for guys that normally wear beards. Rob Bishop

Very impressed with the quality and fast delivery. Will shop here again.
Always use the shaver with caution to avoid cuts. After each use, clean the shaver thoroughly and dry it completely to prevent bacterial growth and skin irritation. Do not use the shaver near water while charging. Always follow the instructions provided with the shaver for safe and optimal operation.
