Brilliant idea, ham-fisted execution.
I've owned this product for quite some time now. While I was thrilled at the prospect of having a DECT cordless phone to use at home running Android, my hopes were dashed by Panasonic's lousy execution of the idea.First of all, as a home phone this thing works well. DECT 6.0 has great range and voice clarity. Placing calls is straight forward and I've had no issues with Caller ID on my VoIP service running through an Obi device.Unfortunately it's acceptable performance as a phone is ruined by it's absolutely pants-on-head stupid design decisions by Panasonic. While the phone has over 2GB of onboard flash. Only 503 MB of it is allocated to internal storage. This means you won't be installing any apps or even updates for those apps. There's tons of junk on here that you can't remove or move to an SD card or the 2.03GB of "Phone Storage" I mean, honestly Panasonic, what the hell were you thinking? An Android phone that has no room for apps just makes the fact that it is Android just something to put on the box. Could have saved themselves some time and money if they'd just made a dumb Cordless phone with screens that LOOK like Android rather than waste their time with a worthless implementation of it.As I said, it works fine as a telephone. However, it is useless for anything BUT that and not worth the asking price. Save your money and just forget this phone exists and HOPE that iDECT brings their handsets to the US.Maybe if Panasonic would update the firmware on this device to NOT suck I'll come back and change this review. I won't be holding my breath for hat.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE - NOT UP TO PAST PANASONIC QUALITY
I have owned more than 5 Panasonic home/office phones and have been very happy with all of them. When it came time to get a new one, I only looked at Panasonic. This one seemed to be up to today's technology standards. However, it spent over 2 hours trying to set it up, plus an additional hour on the phone and live chat with Panasonic only to find out that it does not automatically display the caller ID of incoming calls. The "supervisor" in their customer service department said "it doesn't work right away...wait a few days"... This is ridiculous. How can I know who's calling if the phone doesn't display the caller ID "for a few days". Furthermore, it was the third day after I had installed the phone and it still wasn't working. This was after the chat representative told me that "the base unit stores the caller ID" (which it does, but it doesn't display it). He was quoting from the manual which I had downloaded and read several times. He also asked if the caller was in my "stored numbers" which is irrelevant since it should display all incoming caller IDs!What good is a phone that will not display the caller ID of incoming calls, especially when I purchased this phone specifically because it allows you to block up to 100 numbers even when your phone carrier will not (some call centers/solicitors have numbers that Century Link will not let you block through their service). Nor will this phone let you input those numbers UNTIL they are in the memory (the calls were all in the memory, they were just not displaying on the phone when they came in.)DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

not worth the money in my opinion
This is basicaly an entry level cellphone for the house. Forget the pretty hd screens you are used to from current high end phones. Think 5 years ago, maybe 10. I thought it would be slick, but the handset is awkwardly too small, and i have small hands! If you have medium or large hands, you will probably be frustrated. Also, it is very expensive for what it is/offers, IMHO! The base unit ( which comes with only one handset) plus 3 additional handsets was over $600. Had i not sunk this much money into this solution, i would definately get something else.

Not a good phone
I am going to keep this short and simple. If you plan on using the phone for more than how cool it looks, then look else where. It does not have the features that the Panasonic site claims that it has. Drains the battery quickly. Extra handsets are over priced. Speaker phone is so quiet, it is worthless. There were no reviews when I purchased the phone, otherwise I would have stayed away. One good thing, is the phone has firmware. Hopefully Panasonic will improve the firmware so that it functions properly. It operates on Android 4.04. What does that tell you?.......

Terrible
Absolutely the worst product I've ever purchased. Impossible to use. The technology for the touch screen is so inferior that touching it to you ear or face during a call disconnects or interrupts the call. I am a bit of a techno junkie and this product was a total waste of my time and effort! The technology is not even near what we one would expect these days
