Disappoint
There is a milky white discoloration on the rice grains and it make rice grains weak.And the smell is old when opened the bag.Also, I can't find the product dateanywhere on the bag, evenly "printed below" .I love almost food products from Kyoto, but I don't reccomend this "Tanbamai" from Kyoto.

Smells like soap, bag is not sealed completely
The media could not be loaded. I am disappointed to find out this fancy Japanese rice smells like soap. The bag was not completely sealed, so when I filled with water to test it, water just poured out. That could be the reason for the soapy smells. I also tried to locate the year of the crops (which is very important in Japan), but there were no date stamped anywhere. So I can’t say this is a new crops or old crops.
