Great price for a large amount of filter. Use for my skimmers in my tanks and I must say the clarity of the water is alot better. Would recommend and would definitely buy again.

You get a lot of filter medium for the price. Works well for my 100l aquarium.

I bought this as it was described as loose fibre free, it is definitely not that, cut a piece off and there are a lot of loose fibres, shaking helps remove a lot of these but not all.You get more than the picture leads you to believe, the packet is the size of a long pillow.For the cost I would say it’s just ok value for money as there are many options out there for filter wool, I got it on the amazon discount code offer so feel it’s worth the money I paid, at full price I don’t think it is, good it says it’s chemical free, just wish it was also loose fibre free too as it was described, I won’t be buying this filter wool again, used better in the past, though the filter felt JBL sell is very compact, doesn’t shed fibres either but it’s also very thin so needs something to hold it down or it floats away and only comes in small sheets.

seen someone recommend using this in a canister filter, I've just done my monthly clean and oh boy i cannot believe the colour this came out. i would say this definitely catches the grime!

My planted tank had an issue with floating algae sludge and tannin discolouring the water and I tried everything to get it clear. Installed a half inch square scrap of this wool in the filter and had much clearer water within 30 minutes! I don't expect a planted tank to be crystal but it's a million times better than it was. This comes in a huge bag, it's really good value for the price.

Swapped the biorb base media for Eheim bioballs gravel, and tipped everything out of the filter cartridge and just filled it with this stuff. These changes along with using Prime for water changes has given me crystal clear water. This foam is so easy to use, I just tear a line off the end & wedge it in the cartridge & I'm done. As long as I gravel vac the bio media, my tank stays lovely & clean. This really does polish the water nicely.
