STMT98109-1 Maintenance Case with Metal Hinges and Elastic Pockets, 142 Piece

Excellent quality of Tools , even the aluminium tool case is sturdy and but needs to handle with care, as it not wheeled tool case.

Good quality product but cost is higher

Completissima e di ottima qualità

I bought this as a birthday present for my son so I could use it any time I visited him and do the various bits of maintenance that were needed. It proved surprisingly versatile and I haven't been left short with any of the jobs I have done so far. It's not a box with tools for everything, but its a very good general backup set of tools for general work and support for those extra extra things to do around more specialist work. A great starter tool-set and the tools are of a good quality too.

Overall this is a solid toolkit containing most tools one is likely to need on an everyday basis. It is heavy but this reflects the quality of the tools which should last a lifetime. The case is aluminium. I was worried about sharp edges but these are nicely rounded and the case has sturdy plastic feet. It is quite large so measure to make sure it can be stowed where you want it. The lid has substantial hinges which means it can be kept open easily while extracting tools. The spanners and ratchets have recessed areas below where they are kept which makes it easier to get a finger under the tool to extract it - a nice touch. The knife is a disappointment, especially for Stanley! It is plastic and lightweight. More in keeping with arts and crafts than heavy-duty work. I have replaced it with a metal Stanley Fatmax. Not sure that I will use the spark plug sockets. These seem an odd choice to include, hardly mainstream. However, these are small gripes for something which I am sure will prove extremely useful.
