KitchenCraft Le'Xpress 8-Cup Cafetière Replacement Glass Jug, Spare Coffee Beaker for French Press, 1 Litre (1.75 Pints) – Clear

I accidentally broke the existing 6 cup glass beaker in our cafetiere and it was extremely difficult to find a replacement of the right size.This is a perfect fit, is a 6 cup size (the only one I could find), and is excellent value. It is an original Cafetiere product which I couldn't get directly from the manufacturer, or anywhere else. I can't comment on durability but if it's as good as the old one I will be very pleased. That lasted over 10 years.

All good - it's a simple piece of kit that does what you'd expect & not found any faults with it. Delivery efficient and seemed to be one of the cheapest available for performing this simple function, so no complaints.I personally find the "3 cup" size description a bit confusing. I guess it may be 3 of the tiny cups you only find in continental cafes or costly restaurants, but it is basically the size that does 1 mug of the sort you're likely to find in your kitchen or at work (others more literate in milliliters doubtless know this intuitively, but it left me in slight uncertainty that I was getting the size I wanted).

++ Update ++Le'Xpress 8-Cup replacement has cracked - so lasted longer than those from ASDA but still proved not to be that durable.Have now fitted the second Le'Xpress that I purchased last year. I would purchase another spare but see the price has rocketed.++ ++Replacement glass for our ASDA cafetiere. Their glass jugs were breaking too often and in particular after a cycle in the dishwasher. ASDA were kindly providing replacements where I had the receipt but the problems persisted.We were so pleased that this Le'Xpress 8-Cup fitted the ASDA item (my wife said I was nuts to try). It has a quality feel and so far it's proving to be durable. We have purchased a second Le'Xpress glass as a spare but so far it's not been needed.

Our cafetiere had got out of shape. The framework was no longer round so it put undue pressure on the glass jug , which cracked. With a bit of pressure, manaed to get the framework back to a perfect circle and 'bingo' the new jug fitted perfectly.It came very well packed to prevent damage. Well done!

I bought two of these as I have broken two recently while cleaning. Previously bought the Bodum original but this size appears hard to find on Amazon and if you buy from Bodum it is £14 plus £8 delivery so getting two for near on half the price of the Bodum version is great value. I havent noticed any difference in quality and the glass doesnt appear thin, it just works. One tip when fitting is to heat the plastic carrier (if you have a plastic rather than metal one) which makes it easy to slide in. I did this with boiling water. Not doing this makes it nigh on impossible to fit.

Well after breaking 2 of the beakers for the 'brazil' 3-cup cafetieres made by another brand, I decided to take a punt on this. I am pleasantly surprised after first use - it fits a LOT more snugly than the original, in fact it takes a little force to get it in there. But the end result feels really good - I felt the original was very loose so the tight fit is a great thing in my opinion. Time will tell regarding durability but it has to be better than the originals which smash ridiculously easily.

Does the job

This was a replacement for a smashed jug. It is a really tight fit for the Bodum jug that I have, and I really struggled to fit it without smashing the glass. The result is that the glass jug is now stuck at an angle which can't be moved as I risk smashing the glass in the process. As the glass lip is not now in line with the pouring vent, when poured, the coffee spills over and makes a mess. In other respects, it is a good fit for the plunger and keeps the grounds out of the coffee. I have only given it 3 stars due to the extremely tight fit. If anyone has any ideas of how I can line up the jug with the pouring vent without smashing it and cutting myself, perhaps they could let me know.

Das einzig verbliebene 6-Tassen-Glas, das ich auf dem Markt gefunden habe. Der Preis ist - im Vergleich zu den gängigen Bodum-Gläsern - unschlagbar. Auf Verdacht hin gleich 2 gekauft und nicht bereut. Passt perfekt, anfangs etwas strenger Sitz, aber nach leichtem, vorsichtigem Zug an den jeweils gegenüber liegenden Seiten des Gestells jetzt leichtgängig. Maße: Durchmesser oben 9,8 cm bzw 10,6 cm mit Tülle, Höhe 15 cm.Hoffe, es hält lange, denn ich hänge sehr an meiner schönen verchromten Melior.

Parfait pour remplacer le verre de ma Melior 6 cassé. Il s'adapte parfaitement et semble très solide (épais). Le piston coulisse parfaitement.

Bellissimo boccale in vetro,bello grande e ben confezionato.

Utilisé en remplacement d'un verre bodum cassé sur une cafetière 6 tasses, impeccable, parfaitement adapté. Mais attention, , bien plus fragile que le bodum d'origine...Je recommande cependant.

Passt in das Gestell einer Bodum Chambord 0,5l. Das Glas sitzt ziemlich fest, aber durch die Schraube am Gestell ist das kein Problem.
