Excellent bluetooth cordless phone
This is my second ATT cordless phone. My first one gave us several good years of service when the handsets started to die. I had already replaced the batteries a couple of years ago, so I decided it was time to replace the system. I wanted one that could link to our cell phones and a bluetooth headset to the cordless system. I also wanted 4 headsets. I narrowed my choices to this one and a Panasonic with similar functionality. I chose the ATT model because it could join a call from the landline and the cell phone into a conference call, which we sometimes would like to do with our adult children, who are strictly cellular. The Panasonic can't do that. Bluetooth connects only to the base unit, not the handset.I was able to quickly pair the cordless base to my Iphone and my wife's older Razr cellphones and a Jawbone Icon headset.Sound quality is a better on the ATT than the cell phone connected through bluetooth. Calls over the phone with the landline to landline are very good. Not great, but very good. The sound quality seems a little better and is noticeably louder than our several years old ATT cordless. The ATT base can pair 4 bluetooth devices, but only connect to 2 at a time and only 1 of those can be active at a time on a call. What that means is that I can't connect my bluetooth headset to a call from the ATT base to the cellphone. It's either or. If I want to use the headset, I have to disconnect a cell phone. Also, the ATT phones do not have jacks for a wired headset, like the Panasonic does. Bluetooth range is limited, so your cell phones have to be close to the base to connect, as does the headset. I have tested the connections from my office on the second floor of my home to the first floor where I have the phone base unit. It's possible to connect over that distance, but voice quality suffers a lot. I use an OOMA Telo for phone service, so I also need the OOMA near my internet router. I will have to rewire the house to get my coaxial cable line to my office. From there I can connect the OOMA and the base unit so my cell and bluetooth headset are more conveniently located.I like the ability to have the landline and cell phones all ring to the same unit. Both my wife and I are tired of chasing around the house trying to find the cell phones when they ring. I'm not good about carrying my cell with me in my house.I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 because of the limitations of the bluetooth connections. I wish I could connect to the handset, and not just to the base. I'm sure that would drive up the cost, but I would have been happy to pay the extra cost for the convenience.

Great Sounding Phone, But Blue-Tooth not so great.
We recently started considering getting rid of our land line phone at the house. The problem was that we were never close to our cell phones when they rang. So I started researching home phone systems that would allow two cell phones to pair with it. After a little research, I decided to go with this phone. We had previously used AT&T cordless home phones and were happy with the performance and features. So, we ordered the base and 3 additional handsets.Setting up and pairing the cell phones was easy. What wasn't very intuitive was setting the ringer volumes. The first time it rang, it sounded like a prison break. All 5 handsets were ringing at max volume, plus there was a voice ID announce going off too. Getting the handsets dialed down was easy. However, you've really got to dig around in the manual to find out how to turn the base station down (it by itself was still pretty loud). We got through the set up issues and got some numbers programmed into it.We've been living with this phone system for about a month now, and here's what we've found: - First and foremost, the blue-tooth performance to the cell phones is pretty dismal. After you answer, it takes 3 to 5 seconds to connect up to the cell and establish the call. - If you get a call on your cell and decide you want to answer on the cell, the base station seems to fight you for it. I've had several calls just drop this way - The call history segregates incoming calls by either land line or individual cell. It sometimes takes a bit of poking around to figure out who called. What's good about. The land line quality is great! One of the best sounding phones I've heard in a while. The intercom and paging feature is actually quite handy. We've got a pretty large house, and using the "page all", we can find who we're looking for pretty quick. The build quality seems as good as anything else out there in this price range. The blue-tooth issues could probably be improved or fixed with a firmware upgrade (although I doubt there's any provision to do that in the field).Of course, your performance may be better or worse. Our cell phones are less than 6 months old...so I doubt it's a compatibility issue on our end.
