Oh yes
The dog has really bad separation anxiety and boyfriend works only a few minutes away. She has destroyed 2 doors, a fridge, etc. So we have thus pointed at the front door so we can check in to see if she's having a chill day or a -my parents are never coming home, I've been abandoned, revolt- day. Then boyfriend can just rush home and give her some chill the frack out meds. It works perfectly. The picture quality is great, the width of the shot is great. We could not be more pleased.

Discreet, and it's also a real IP camera
Decent clear picture and reasonably discreet as advertised. The BVCAM software for IOS did work, though can be mildly confusing what they want you to do. There is a QR code sticker on the device, and the BVCAM software can scan this, so adding the device is easy enough. What is mildly confusing is that the device (once plugged in and given a minute) appears as a WiFi hotspot. So you set your phone to connect to that, then you can use BVCAM to finish configuring the device, including the important next step, entering your home WiFi settings. I had no problems but I see the manual notes three key requirements/suggestions including 1.) 2.4HZ WiFi only, 2.) that the WiFi SSID and password use ASCII characters (letters and numbers) only (probably good advice anyway for maximum compatibility with all devices, 3.) that your WiFi be configured for WPA or WPA-2 encryption, no WEP.I do recommend changing the default password from 8888, and the BVCAM application will prompt you to do this. It's a good idea to do so.You actually don't have to use your phone to view live streaming video, but they don't make it entirely easy. Under Windows, Network view, the device appears as RalinkLinuxClient. Right click properties to view the MAC address of the device. From a CMD window, type "arp -a" to get a list of MAC addresses and assigned IP addresses. Now you know the IP address of the device. From a web browser (I used Firefox), enter the URL "http://[ip address of device]For username and password, I entered "admin", and no password. Yes, no password. The goal here is to get into the device's built-in HTTP server/interface, and by default, no password is correct. This is not the same password used when configuring BVCAM.Several choices are available, but I recommend "Non-IE Web Browsers (MJPEG). Good old Motion JPEG like any other IP Camera. Click and you can view live video on your PC. There are also useful options to adjust brightness, rotate, etc, and that GEAR icon, to get into the camera's system menus where you can set an admin password, replace DHCP assigned settings with static settings, and other expected options typical of an IP camera.By the way I'm very pleased that those good old IP camera settings are adjustable, and web browser accessible. The phone viewing option is of course popular, but it's a big plus that this can be viewed on a PC with no additional software needed.

Both the product and customer support are superior. I initially had a somewhat self-inflicted problem, and alerted the vendor. Within minutes, they responded with further instructions. When I needed more help, they responded with an instant reply with pictures on how to insert the SD card. The documentation is extremely clear, and that is greatly appreciated. The product itself works flawlessly. We are having major updates made to our house, and we have work people in the house much of the day while we are away. I trust but want to verify. So far the camera has allowed me to confirm that they are working and not going through my desk. It's hard to believe all of the technology that's stuffed into a working power cube.

Caught the late night food thief among my roommates.
This camera is low key enough to watch my roommates steal my food out of the fridge without them noticing for several weeks now. It has an IR mode that works at night with a stove hood light on, but it's extremely grainy in dark areas of the picture. It has a cool alarm feature that will activate recording when movement occurs. You can adjust the sensitivity of the feature and the clip length. It works pretty well. I've caught the culprit on camera several times, around 4-6am, eating food that doesn't belong to him. I check the footage every morning with my cellphone without ever having to access the sd card.

One of the best child care investments we have made
I purchased several different nanny cams...these are by far the most clandestine, easiest to set up, and bug free of all of them. I usually leave this on the counter with a charging cord attached. The nanny plugs it in herself to charge her phone and doesn't realize it is a camera. I always inform my nannies there are cameras (there is a super obvious one on our mantle). This one was how we caught a horrible issue with one caretaker though. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about, I'm so grateful we had this one. (She was intentionally out of the line of sight of the obvious camera). It is seriously worth the peace of mind and very easy to use.

It constantly says request service and heats up enough to melt a memory card.
This is an terrible product. Contacted the company letting them know about the issues I was having they wrote me back but their response had nothing to do with the issues. This ended up heating up and melting the memory card I just paid $30 for on top of paying for the camera. Do not buy!

The pictures and videos were great. It would not stay connected to the wi-fi in the device itself and took way too long to connect to my wi-fi in home so it kept logging out. If it will not stay connected, how can you know what is going on when you are away?

Camera has good pics but the Bvcam app is horrible.
The app is bad... Bvcam is not a good app for this camera. I will try to use the iminicam app which is similar but much better without all the pausing every 3 seconds. The alarm doesn't function well. It doesn't take all the pictures when the alarm is activated.
