It's always a risk buying a leather product like this online, as you cannot get a proper feel for the product until after you've bought it and it's been delivered. Sometimes, though, the risks pay off and you make a good call. Happily, I made a really good call with this bag. I've only had it for one week already and I love it. It's beautifully made, excellent craftsmanship all round, and it feels like it will last a lifetime. I've already gotten several compliments on it from work colleagues who noticed it immediately. It's very eye-catching. Size wise, it is on the large side, but that is all in the product description, which is spot on. It will easily accommodate a laptop, several large files and various bits and bobs with no stretching or jamming things into a tight space.The only downside (although not an issue for me) is that the leather is so thick and sturdy and the whole thing is so well constructed that some might find it a little heavy. Personally, I think that adds to the appeal. All in all, I cannot recommend this bag highly enough.

I had been looking to purchase a Saddleback Briefcase but when I'd finally decided to take the plunge, Saddleback increased their prices dramatically and with international shipping, VAT etc, the bag would have been in the region of £1000. Ouch!So I began looking for alternatives that could be used as a briefcase but were also rugged and a little different and I came across this on Amazon and at £139 I decided to take the plunge.I don't know where it's from (I think China), but all I can say is this is seems worth getting if you are not too fussy about a few dings and scrapes on your new bag. It's rugged, interesting to look at and similar to Saddleback but less than an eighth of the price when you include delivery and VAT in the UK.It seems fairly sturdy and well made. It comes treated in a matt brown finish, which is extremely soft and marks very easily. unfortunately this leaves light marks in the dark leather so it's very prone to scuffing Mine was new and had numerous small marks in the leather from the manufacturer. But as I said, it adds character and mine already looks 5 years old.It's not a saddleback, but if you want something rugged and liable to last years, this is it.Downsides1. Modern cases simply click shut - this won't. There are 3 straps to undo and thread into loops so it takes a few minutes and its basic inside. but on the whole, it's great.2. A lot of marks and scratches coming out of the box and what looks like a partial trainer mark on the back. They are ok - it looks worn I guess - could possibly be polished out.Conclusion.It's what you see in the ad, if you like the look of the picture you'll be delighted when it arrives. it will mark and damage superficially quite quickly but that's part of the charm of a bag like this.

I don't normally write Amazon reviews, but felt that this bag deserved it. Buying such relatively expensive items blind from a distance seller is risky, but I am very satisfied with the bag that I received. It is early days yet, but the leather is thick, has a lovely finish and the bag overall appears to be rugged and well constructed. Time will tell how well it ages and survives everyday workplace use. But for now I heartily recommend this bag for the price. Quality item. Low price for the quality. And I'm a typical Englishman - not easily pleased! 😊

This is a solid piece of kit, very well made from lovely leather.The seller emailed me a picture of the bag before posting to double check I was happy with the colouring of the bag, but it still arrived within 4 working days.There isn't a zip closure on it as the write up says, but having looked at the pictures before purchase I had guessed that already, so wasn't surprised.It is big, and fits in my work laptop, my tablet, notebooks, pens, a lunch box etc.Can't fault it.

This is a great bag! Versatile, large and a bit more formal than my well used Filson bags.The leather is of good quality. Despite its rugged apprearance it is not too heavy. It does strongly lean on the original design by Saddleback. I am happy I chose this one for a moderate price. It'll work perfectly as office bag, overnight bag and give you enough room for your laptop & accesories.

Love it. Really spacious as expected. I fit two 15'' laptops with chargers + some clothes for three days and other stuff and that is not a limit. A bit weighty respect to the thin leather bags, but it is robust otherwise.

This bag is tough and strong. I love it. It was a birthday present and replaces an older traditional briefcase. It fills the role perfectly and will last a long time. At the moment I've only had it a week but I absolutely love it. Highly recommend it but realise it is a strong tough and slightly heavy piece of kit.
