Philip's Modern School Atlas: 98th Edition Hardcover – 6 April 2015

1st class item, as good as new!

This is a great atlas for students studying Geography. It comes with great detail, statistics and great research information. It is easy to read and my teen really enjoys it whilst studying.

FANTASTIC SCHOOL ATLAS

Books aimed at children are usually well presented. This is no exception. Packed with priceless knowledge even for oldies like me.

The atlas is really good and provides all the usual maps as well as additional information on vegetation, climate etc. I bought it because it said “for international schools”, but I must warn international buyers that a lot of the more valuable information and maps is focused on the British Isles which we don’t need. So if you’re doing IGCSE, you might need an additional source to cover detailed information on Asia/Africa/Mainland Europe/ Americas.

This was well produced and well priced. However, as with so many world atlases,it is very Britain centred. I had no way of knowing, for example that Africa was covered in one (or two) pages!! Since the atlas was meant for a student in Uganda, I felt a bit apologetic towards the recipient. It may be difficult, but would it be possible to show the front index page to give an idea of how world coverage is offered?

Superb brightly illustrated atlas. FINDING places never knew existed, with facts and graphs to boggle your mind share this with 7.4 billion others?

Excellent value for money. I am nearly 70 years old and had a Philip's Modern Atlas as a gift in 1984. I no longer have that Atlas as it fell apart with use. I would recommend the 98th edition to anyone who loves to learn
