Does the mirror stand swivel?

The mirror is attached to a swiveling suction cup, which in turn is generally attached to a wall mirror. However, the suction cup would most likely attach to a smooth surface like a granite or quartz countertop.

My mirror will shut off for no reason. I have fresh secure batteries in. Then will turn on 2 days later! Any ideas why?

I only use my mirror plugged in. It never fails.
