Very good value for money. Ideal for a new knitter as instructions are very easy to follow. The wool is good quality too.

I was really looking forward to knitting this blanket. I love Marriner wool and have not had a bad experience so far, however, this project has left me slightly disappointed. The wool leaves a lot to be desired. The red wool has had a lot of breakages in the manufacturing process and therefore there are quite a few knots which I have had to join invisibly (more work). The other colours have not been too bad except for the gold colour. This is such a thin quality - almost four-ply. The knitted squares in this colour do not feel the same as the others. I hope it is not obvious that this wool is so different when I sew them all together. What started out as a simple yet colourful project has left me forcing myself to finish it. I have knitted for over 40 years and don't think I have ever been so disinclined to finish something. I hope this is a one-off.

Knitted up easily into a jolly knee blanket for an elderly relative.

This is the second time I've bought this kit, in different colours. The small balls are very portable, convenient for travelling and sitting in waiting rooms etc. I don't find the quality of the yarn great but for the money is more than acceptable. I would buy again and delivery very quick.
