The Grown Up Choc Co Fruit and Nut Hunky Dory Double Bar 65 g (Pack of 6)

These two little chocolate bars from the Grown Up Chocolate Company are exceptionally tasty, if you know anyone that likes fruit and nut bars this is a must try.In a box you get two bars totalling 65g in weight (measure approx. 5cm by 3cm by 2cm high).The bars have a very satisfying bite to them thanks to the thick portion of chocolate on the top of the bar that has a quality and tasty ‘snap’ to it.The centre of the bar is a mix of small and delicious nutty morsels combined with small bits of dried cranberries and citrus peel.The centre is lovely and smooth with wonderful hits of texture from the fruit and nuts. This balance of fruit, nut and smooth chocolate is perfect with no single element over powering the other. One thing to note is that for me I was left afterwards with a slight lingering hint of citrus peel taste in my mouth. It was sweet and subtle and is by no means a bad thing but should you not like this flavour, this bar would not be for you.All in all, as with all other bars from the Grown Up Chocolate Company that I have tried, I am impressed. This really is chocolate that is different and special in my opinion to anything else out there on the market. Makes for a wonderful and different gift. I really have no criticisms of this bar whatsoever, other than they’re incredibly moreish. I think they have changed the recipe as eating this bar was a real disappointment to how it tasted 1 year - 18 mos ago. The fruit and nuts are barely noticeable leaving you with just overly sweet, hard chocolate. I will not buy again.
