Lovely pen that well balance with or without the lid attached to the back. Without the lid this is a medium weight pen and medium approaching heavy with the lid on.The ink flows smoothly and nib has good amount of flex capability but not any better than the Al star which I am only giving it a 4/5 for value.The matt finish is able to be scratched off so a pouch is advised but I generally have it the slot in my bag as the lid has a decent amount of springness to it.The only real negative is that the threads to attach to the barrel is plastic and will probably be the thing to break on the pen the same way it did with my old Al star

I can only repeat what other people have said. I have had vintage Parker pens and don't use them very often, mainly because they tend to dry up if left. Someone I work with has always recommended Lamy, so thought I'd take his advice. I'm not disappointed, it literally writes first time if left for as long as 10 days or more, it's very impressive. Fully recommended.

Wonderful Pen oozing quality, nice weight, cap posts well. I opted for the medium nib and it dialled in in a couple of days, very smooth. Using Waterman black ink at the moment and just on the right side of wet. Have left it unposted for hours and worked perfectly straight away. Quickly became my daily driver. Seen reviews were people mentioned the grip section was slippery, while it is definitely not as secure as the safari triangular grip I still find it comfortable. Wonderful quality pen at this price bracket.

Not bad. But I prefer the cheaper Lamy Safari - it writes better.

I absolutely love this pen. The elegant design and smooth nib action make it an absolute joy to write with. I recommend getting the converter and pairing it with Diamine or any of the excellent Pilot Iroshizuku inks.

Pen feels amazing in the hand but the actual writing experience is not great. The writing feels quite scratchy.

Very nice pen. Got Safari and I believe this one is good addition to my collection. No scratching on paper and never dried out so far.

This was what my daughter wanted for her Christmas, it was sent all the way from Germany and arrived very quickly.
