La Cafetière "Kettle Kleen" Kettle Descaler, Silver

I have used a similar product for years but this looks stronger and larger. It certainly does the job better and keeps my kettle free from fur for much longer. A very good product, especially if you live in a very hard water area like us.

Purchased this to keep my kettle from building up too much scale - up to now is doing the job.

A little too tightly woven for my liking, not efficient for the job. However that is my opinion.

Lving in an area where the water is realy hard (Salisbury Plains, Wiltshire, England), this is an essential to keep lime scale at bay. Easy to use, prompt delivery and no excessive packagaing. Have just changed from using a whte plastic kettle, to a stove kettle so it will be interesting to see how this works. However, I much prefer to use this product to all those harsh cleaning chemicals. I do also use filtered water to help cut down on limescale.

I already left feedback saying I was sent an item different to advertised but I hadn't used it so I could not comment on that. Now I have, I have been using this for about a month, and it makes absolutely no difference at all. I am more than disappointed.Also, the item was £1.97 but I was charged a hefty £26.00 delivery which I only noticed after the item arrived as it was ordered alongside other sellers items. Admittedly I live in Greece, but after checking the parcel the item was sent in, it appears postage cost was actually less than £3.00 - in other words I was totally ripped off.Be aware of this before ordering.

Works well in my electric kettle.Limescale still builds up but a weekly 'swoosh' and clean brings up the bottom of the kettle nicely.Don't expect miracles, this doesn't stop limescale, but it does help avoid and loosen it (when compared to no treatments)

I live in a hard water area and this seems to keep the limescale down in the kettle and only needs a thorough rinse under the tap every 3-4 weeks. Would get again

This is such an easy way to keep my kettle clear of mineral build up from hard water. From time to time, I pull the de-scaler out of my stovetop stainless steel kettle. A closer look will reveal mineral buildup, in the de-scaler's wires, that would normally be thickly coating the bottom of my kettle. I give it a few scrunches to breakup the mineral buildup and rinse the descaler under running water before popping it back into my kettle. Sporadically, I will wipe the inside of the kettle with a dishcloth to remove a very thin layer of mineral deposit. A gentle wipe is enough to clean the kettle interior. I love this handy tool so much, I bought a second one for my mother to use in her kettle. She has been pleasantly surprised at how effective it is.

The media could not be loaded.  Irgendwo in einem Klatschblatt habe ich von so einem Entkalker gelesen. Irgendwie hat mich das überzeugt. Drahtgeflecht im Wasserkocher. Warum nicht? Das Resultat nach ca. vier Wochen, das habe ich mal in dem hochgeladenen Video aufgenommen. An sich hat sich nach vier Wochen weniger Kalk im Wasserkocher an der Heizplatte unten abgesetzt. Dafür schwimmt der Kalk nun im Wasser rum. Ich vermute, der wird nun durch das Hin- und Hergewaber des "Drahtgeflechts" irgendwie abgekratzt und schwimmt nun vor sich her. Bei mir wurde der Kalk jedenfalls nicht vom "Drahtgeflecht" aufgenommen. Ich bin jetzt wieder zum normalen Entkalten alle vier Wochen übergegangen. Letztlich habe ich aus der Not eine Tugend gemacht und dieses "Drahtgeflecht" in den Besteckkasten meines Geschirrspülers getan. Und was soll ich sagen? Der Flugrost hat sich sowas von minimiert, aber hallo. Bisher hatte ich immer Kugeln von Silberfolie drin, aber mit der Zeit lösten die sich auch auf. Nun habe ich halt für mich eine perfekte Lösung gefunden. Und das ist gut so.

Producto muy facil de usar. El herbidor se usa mas para mas tiempo sin limpiarlo (6 meses a un ano). Barato y llego a casa bastante pronto.

I keep this in my stainless steel electric teakettle, and it works great! I've had it for several years and there's no hard water stain build-up ever! I liked this simple solution so much I bought 2 more; one to give to my mom, and one for work.

We have very hard well water, scale builds up immediately, this little ball of magic kept the kettle looking brand new. No more overnight vinegar soaks or scrubbing and scraping. No more flecks of scale in my tea. However, we had a visitor come and dump the teapot out, she didn't notice, and dumped the descaler into the garbage disposal. It probably would have still worked but it was all mis-shapen, so I'm ordering another.
