Avkans PTZ cameras have quickly become my go to PTZ camera. They offer solid quality at a very affordable price. I have used a variety of the Avkans cameras but this Avkans 4K NDI PTZ camera has to be one of my favorites. It is very easy to connect and configure. I find that it works well in multi camera settings and provides excellent picture quality over all of the connection types. I have utilized connectivity using HDMI, SDI, USB and NDI. All work very well. I am looking forward to using this camera in future client installations as well as other cameras and devices in the Avkans line.

After watching reviews on YouTube of this AVKANS NDI PTZ Camera I decided to give it a try. I used it for about 6 months and really like how easy it was to setup. After 6 months I ordered my second camera and now I ordered a 3rd camera. The AVKANS 20X NDI PTZ Camera with HDMI, SDI, USB camera is very impressive! It performs well in low-light conditions. The Pan-Tilt-Zoom feature is buttery smooth, giving you total control. Plus, the 1080p resolution is just right for high-quality videos. Setting it up straight forward and the AVKANS training video walks you through the steps with ease. The camera is built well and packed with features. This AVKANS PTZ camera is great for the price. I use these cameras for mostly with a TriCaster video switcher for Conference Presentations. OBS detected this NDI camera which offers very low latency with 1060P at 60 frames. I had a couple questions about updating the Firmware and NDI configuration and ANKANS replied quickly with a firmware link and instructions. AVKANS support was very responsive for me by email. I'm very pleased with my purchase and customer support should you need it. I would definitely purchase this PTZ Camera again knowing that they have great customer service. Very pleased with my purchases.

Got 2 of these for church application. 4k quality picture. Easy mount & setup. NDI feed to OBS is perfect. WebUI is easy to work with. Works perfect with Hsility NDI controller that I picked out. Comes with a remote as well if you choose to control camera that way. It has been an amazing asset for our streams in terms of picture quality & ease of control.

My forth camera but upgraded to 4K. Super easy to hook up POI router, and basic camera function. I have had issues with the web preview not displaying the camera, and intermittent issues where the speaker will take a few steps to the right and walk out if the frame, then seconds later the camera moves toward the speaker, but doesn’t see them, moving far past them and then moving wide angle. We have followed all the recommended steps but still an issue.

Short review: Very pleased with my purchase. I have initially ordered 2 cameras. And have used them since early May 2023 using OBS for live streaming from a worship place. I have then ordered a 3rd camera, and will be setting up shortly. Detailed review: This review is for the 20x NDI version: I had no prior experience with PTZ cameras or OBS, that's why I was very hesitant first. But then I asked a couple of questions here and got very positive responses from other Amazon buyers. There is also a ton of info on YouTube. I now have 2 cameras configured for live streaming at my worship place using OBS since early May 2023. My experience has been very positive so far, and have decided to order a 3rd camera. Installation was very easy: all I needed was a single cat6 cable from my POE switch to each camera, the cable carries power and video stream. But the camera can stream via HDMI, SDI, or even USB simultaneously (haven’t tried them). I had to purchase heavy duty wall-mounting brackets (recommended to avoid vibrations). However, you won’t need the bracket if the camera will be on your desktop. I also understand that Avkans might send you a free bracket if you ask for it from their support. I didn’t need to use the included DC power adapter, since I already have a POE switch. The best part is the easy integration with OBS. It worked out very well for me although I am new to this stuff. OBS detected the NDI streams which offers very low latency despite my setup at 1060P at 60 frames. I am actually controlling the cameras, doing the transitions, point and zooming, etc. all from one location and all by myself. Several friends and other YouTube live streamers were very impressed especially when they compared my neat NDI setup with their own SDI and HDMI based setup which did cost them more and required a lot of cabling and multiple camera operators. Avkans support is very responsive, by email, and even by WhatsApp. They have been very helpful in addressing all sort of issues, from the basics to the firmware upgrades, etc. I just wish the wall brackets were included instead of the DC adapters. One more improvement would be a slower transition speed between the programmed camera preset angles. The latest 1.0.06 firmware has included preset speed control but it is still not slow enough for me. Overall, I really feel the camera is an excellent deal given its affordable price, ease of setup, picture quality, features & functionality, plus the helpful support.

This has been a truly excellent addition for our church. We added it to cover a different angle of another PTZ camera we have that cost 3-4 times the cost of this one. The other one has a better picture, but this one isn't all that far behind it. This one also has NDI and PoE (power over ethernet), which the other doesn't. We got is specifically so that we could power it and connect it via a single ethernet cable since it is in a difficult spot to reach. It runs through a network switch and that provides PoE. We were concerned about video lag to sync it with the feed from our sound board, but the lag is almost identical to the HDMI connection of our other camera, which we'd already compensated for in OBS (Open Broadcast Software). To use with OBS it requires the NDI plugin to capture the feed. It's also possible to use either the HTML or VISCA protocols to move the camera to presets using a plugin. We have ours set up so that the camera moves automatically with the various scenes. The optical zoom means we don't lose detail when zooming in. There are plenty of settings to adjust the picture quality. I feel like we got a lot of camera for the cost. We don't use the mic on it, so I can't comment on sound quality.

I bought the Avkans AV4KN along with the Avkans Power Joy controller for a multi-cam NDI workflow in church and retail environments. The camera delivers crisp image quality, smooth PTZ control, and integrates well with ProPresenter, ATEM Mini Pro, and joystick setups. The Power Joy adds solid tactile control and makes switching angles and presets seamless—great fit for live worship. Setup videos were provided, but I ended up relying on AJAY (the CEO) for direct guidance. His support was clear, responsive, and helped me get the camera dialed in quickly. However, I still have not received the free NDI license that was advertised. Support asked for my order number and model, which I provided, but I'm still waiting. This delay has held up full integration into my NDI workflow, which is frustrating given the camera's advertised capabilities. If I do not receive the license soon, I will be returning the product. NDI functionality was a key reason for this purchase, and without it, the camera does not meet the operational needs I bought it for. Update: Avkans contacted me and resolved the issue. I changed my ratings to 5 starts

This camera is well built and doesn't feel cheap. The video quality in my opinion is excellent. However, that is in my studio with optimal lighting. You do have the ability to change setting to improve picture quality, but I didn't have to. Zoom is good and it is easy to pull focus with the controller. The web interface is pretty good as well. controlling the camera works well and setting up presets is very intuitive. I didn't even read the Manuel and had no problem setting up presets. It is a great value for the money. I now own 3 of these 20x cameras and they are all good. My second 2 do NDI along with HDMI, SDI and USB. All of my original opinions on image quality were based on my studio with great lighting. But I have since taken 2, to my church and the image coming from these are actually better than camera that actually cost more than these, even when they are not on sale. If you haven't guessed the lighting in the church is not good. I am super impressed with these cameras. Quality build, ease of use and great image quality!!!

Great value in this package. The image quality is great and the controller is very nice. The camera build quality is pretty light plastic. In some scenarios this is a good thing as they do not require the strongest stands/mounting. In other ways the cameras do feel very fragile. I had one camera fail within 1 year (software/firmware malfunction) but the seller promptly replaced it. I did pay return shipping. Overall good cameras for an install in a board room etc. I would recommend powering them down when not in use and not moving them too often.

This is an excellent camera, good quality image and many adjustable features so that you can configure it just the way you want it. We use it to livestream our church services using OBS, with which it works perfectly, so much so that we have bought another one to expand our system!
