Used it for climbing. Used it to belay. Tuff, works and trust my life on it. But you have to understand how to use it as there are less(smoother) friction points.

Nicely made & good price
The 'eight' is well made and nicely finished. The price makes it a bargain, especially when you see other versions of what looks like the same product on sale at a higher price.The only drawback that one might have would be with lack of UIAA certification and the stated load rating, if you are going to use it for serious climbing. I am using it on relatively moderately angled slopes and not for vertical descents.
