Great cleaner
Not the cheapest, but certainly lighter than many on the market and excellent build quality. Bought for elderly parents who can use with ease

As usual Dyson are, in my opinion, the best cordless cleaners you can buy.

Broken after 18 months of careful use.
Purchased from Curry’s Dec 2021. This is the best handheld vacuum I’ve used but the worst vacuum I’ve owned. The other cordless cleaners have all cost under £40 though and the price of a Dyson is in no way good value. They are massively overpriced. The overall design seems at first glance to be functional and practical however, there are several design flaws on this vacuum, one of which will eventually rear its head and prevent normal convenient use.It is cumbersome in the hand and requires regular cleaning for the opening mechanism to function smoothly. It’s suction is reasonable if all pieces are correctly seated but a corded vacuum half the price will outperform this. The batteries last quite well but we have two anyway so can rotate (they are very expensive). It gets blocked pretty quickly and you end up having to dismantle it to clean out the respective parts. The apertures for the waste are too narrow to handle pet rabbit bumf.Today ours has ceased to function properly. There is a runner along the bottom which sits in another brace. It has too much flex and so the waste bin refuses to slide off and the catch securing the bottom of the waste bin will not open, preventing emptying of the vacuum. Having examined it, this is clearly a design flaw and while most of the constituent parts are quite serviceable this part can’t be secured any more than it already is and over time it seems it will work its way loose.Customer service wait time at 10am on Thursday is 45 minutes, waited for 35 minutes before being inexplicably cut off! I have yet to navigate the warranty process but am not at all hopeful.I’ve had a corded Dyson before which broke and lost suction after 2-3 years but gave this a go because we wanted a handheld for quick cleaning. I would never buy a Dyson again! I still have a Meile in the workshop that I got second hand and is 10+ years old. It has seen some serious abuse… as a dust extractor in the workshop, hoovering piles of leaves, hot metal sparks, mountains of fur and dander etc, despite the top lid breaking off after 8 years and being secured by gaffa tape it is still performing better than the Dysons. In terms of value there is no competition. Admittedly the bagless Meile cleaners aren’t as good as the old bagged cleaners but they still outperform the equivalent Dyson for the money.Don’t believe the Dyson hype. Look at long term reviews and reports of customer service. I’ll never give another penny to Dyson.
