Accurate and repeatable measurments terrible app.
The actual tool is great but I bought it so I could take pictures and show the measurements on the pictures. The idea is there but they made it and never even used it on the app. It is unusable! To call it unrefined would be an insult to unrefined products everywhere. I downloaded the app doubious that I was downloading the correct app. This seemed like a app that you control all your smart devices from. It was but it connected and recognized the Mileseey. When I got into it there did not seem like much there including any instructions but I found where I could make s drawing or take a picture. I took a picture went in to the picture figured out to move the cursor with my finger to the beginning of the measurement pull my finger off and go to the spot of the ending measurement. Then either take a measurement or if I had already taken one to select which one i wanted of the last 6 or so measurements and it was put between the two points. Great a little clumsy but useable. I went to the place I wanted to put the second measurement a short distance parallel from the first one. I put my finger on the cursor and it jumped up about a quarter of the picture from my finger. Pulled my finger up and tries again and it made that the second measurement. I erased it and tried again 4 or 5 more times with the same results so I finally left my finger on the screen and slid it till my finger got to the end of the picture the cursor was still not far enough but when my finger went off the picture the cursor had marked the first part of the measurement. I was beginning to get quite aggravated by this point. I was able to finagle my finger in the cursor to almost the spot that I wanted it and then the cursor jumped over the spot that I wanted it. I slid my finger back up and it jumped back I couldn't get it to the spot that I needed it just jumped over that part of the picture like it wasn't there. Quite aggravated by this time I said screw it I don't care just as long as it is in the area. Went to select the measurement I wanted. On the first measurments to the right of the picture it drew the measurement line and put the measurement to the left of the line. The second measurement. Was still on the right first quarter of the picture with 3/4 of the picture to the left of it. Did it put the measurement on the left side like the first measurments? No it put it on the right side of the line covering up the first measurment I had taken with 3/4 of the picture to the left. WTF! I decided I needed to use an old phone with this app because I felt the need to see how far my current phone would fly at that moment along with the laser measuring device. The device works fine but I already had one that worked fine I bought this specifically for the app. If I wanted to be aggravated to death I could have just gone to work at least they pay me there. I had to pay for this thing and then one reason I bought it for was absolutely the worst nonusable thing I have ever paid money for. I hope someone eventually tries out the product they made. It is not possible they went any further than making sure the device connected to the app before they declared it good and moved on.

Works well inside not so well outside
I used this inside and it worked well and very accurate. I tried to use it outside in the sunlight and It didn't work well. You have to have a reflective surface to point it at and I didn't. I was trying to point it at a tree across a stream to get a distance for a bridge, it didn't work. It was a good value and I would buy this again.

Can't Bluetooth Connect Mileseey D5 to Any Device
This is an excellent laser measurement tool for home use. Unfortunately, after trying many different methods of trying to connect the D5 by Bluetooth (tried everything in the instructions, tried multiple methods suggested by Smart Life, etc), it simply will not work. The D5 is not visible to any other device or app that I have tried.I would really like to be able to link the laser measure with a sketch app as advertised so that I can create both hand drawn plans and edit pictures with measurements.Any advice on how to fix this? The Bluetooth icon flashes slowly on the D5 but that is as far as it goes.

Excellent tool for the money for the Handyman or Contractor alike!
This review evaluates the “Laser Measurement Tool with Digital Angle Level” made by MILESEEY.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in a box. What’s in the box: one (1) laser measurement tool with digital angle level, two (2) AAA alkaline batteries, one (1) wrist lanyard, one (1) cloth drawstring pouch, and user instructions.First impressions: Small and compact. The unit is made of rugged ABS plastic with PP rubber anti-slip grips that protect it from mild bumps/drops. The built quality and finish is good. The front of the unit has a large, 2” illuminated digital LCD display that is easy to read in different lighting environments. Also on the front of the unit are seven soft-touch buttons that control various functions. It is powered by two (2) AAA alkaline batteries (included) in a battery compartment located at the back of the unit. The Class 2 laser unit emits a red wavelength beam which is fairly easy to see in most lighting conditions without the aid of contrast eyeglasses. The unit is able to measure distances up to 229ft and has built-in auto-leveling and auto-height modes. The corners of the unit are chamfered at 45 degrees which makes it easy for quick common calculations based on a typical 45-degree cut. The unit can store internally 30 data records and can also be paired with the Smart Life APP via Bluetooth for storing and manipulating your data. The product claims to be IP54 rated which by international standards means that for whatever its purpose or intended market, it can resist exposure to dust with limited ingress, no harmful deposits; and withstands water intrusion by low-pressure water jets from any direction. I did not water test this product because to do it effectively I would have to test it in an outdoor environment for no less than 8 -12 months. I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. Only time will tell if this unit has similar longevity and effective service life as other competitive products on the market. Therefore I am going to monitor this product over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise. How did this unit perform? One word – Excellent. I tested the laser by measuring the layout of my workbench in my shop. The red laser light was easy to see in daylight conditions without the aid of yellow or red safety glasses to amplify/contrast the laser light. The unit is very accurate it is great for general carpentry and leveling jobs around your home or job site. The functionality to upload your measurements to the Smart Life APP is extremely handy. The Smart Life APP has basic floorplan designer functions which allow you to layout/draw your walls and import your corresponding layout measurements into the APP directly. If your layout changes, the unit syncs the new measurements and your room layout will update automatically… that’s pretty slick!Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very satisfied with the product, it is compact, easy to set up and use, and greatly speeds up leveling and layout jobs. This is a very versatile product that has 101 uses around your home or job site. This tool is rugged and versatile enough to be contractor-grade, and best of all it is accurate to 1/16”.At a current price of $69.99 (plus a $20 off coupon), I feel it is excellent value for the functionality and convenience delivered. In summary: the “Laser Measurement Tool with Digital Angle Level” made by MILESEEY is made of good-quality materials, is rugged, and increases job efficiency.
