Excellent value for money
This is a superb device if you're looking for an inexpensive clock radio with iPhone connectivity. It does everything it claims to and looks fantastic, especially with the iPhone docked. I haven't experienced any of the problems claimed by the negative reviews on here, and these complaints almost put me off buying this product. Firstly, the autoplay only happens if you leave the device on iPod mode at all times. It's very simple to just switch it over to AUX setting, and only turn on iPod mode when you want to. Secondly, I simply haven't experienced the problem of network interference noises at night. This could also be due to people leaving the device on iPod mode overnight, but I haven't heard it even on this setting. There are a couple of niggly problems though that I thought I'd bring up in case future models are to be released. Firstly, when on radio mode you can't tell the time, as the station frequency replaces the time. I'd honestly rather have it switch back to the time after a while as I know what station I'm listening to. Also, the buttons really are very complicated in terms of setting alarms. I lost the manual after a few days (yes, my bad, but it's only a single sheet of paper) and without it, it's nigh on impossible to work out what's going on with the buttons on top! The volume buttons should also be more prominent; currently they are hidden in the middle of a set of 5, so when I reach over to change the volume, I invariably end up changing the radio channel or even switching off the radio! Just have them as a separate set on the side or something.Anyway, as I say, these are minor gripes which prevented a 5 star rating in my view. For the price I'd highly recommend buying this!

Put the cable in the dc-in socket not the aux!
Love it! I asked for an ipod dock for Christmas and the other half went over the top and bought a massive fandangled machine with this, that and the other but we can't get it to play the play lists on the ipod so I bought this and I'm not disappointed in any way at all! The sound quality i's great and it's so straight forward to use. Nice & compact too. I'm going to buy one for each main room in the house!

Ok, but could do better...
Serves its purpose and is a decent looking unit. Controls are not particularly intuitive - and operating manual doesn't do much to help.I had to contact customer services to discover that the unit does not allow you to adjust the volume to wake up to - one volume fits all apparently - so for those who share you bed - they get blasted with your wake up tunes!Provides a decent enough sound quality for the size and price.

Fantastic for the price
I was a little sceptical about this because of the price, even though the reviews were good, and I am very happy to say that I have been very pleasantly surprised. The sound quality is very good, and you can preset your favourite radio stations. I haven't yet tried to work the alarms, so can't comment on those. The one thing I was worried about, was that some reviewers had said the music started automatically as soon as you plugged in your iPhone/iPod. As I often go to bed later than my husband due to my job, I was worried about this waking him up. But I have been delighted to discover that if the dock is switched to Aux, it will not start playing automatically when you plug your phone in. So overall, though this is only my first day with it, I am very happy with my purchase.

Takes up very little room!
Well once I worked out how to set the alarm I was happy, it says in the manual that you don't hold the button down, but you actually do have to, so once it was set it was great. However when the alarm goes off it flashes light so not great for an Epileptic, but if you switch it off and then on again you can then listen to the radio, IPod whichever, only then you don't see the time just the radio setting which isn't ideal. But the sound is really good and it takes up so little space in the bedside cabinet, I have a black one of these in the kitchen as Radio or IPod Dock as the sound is good, so all in all I am pleased with this and would recommend it, just remember to hold the button down when setting the alarm!

KS Xdock in use
In the main the Xdock is a good clock radio dock. The control buttons are a little small and close together and you really have to make sure your on the right one. Also it's a pity, as it is a clock, that the display when using the radio does not change back to the clock, say after 20sec, after you have turned the radio on or changed station but just stays on the frequency. Our reason for purchasing this item was the ipod 30pin connector which we needed for our older ipod touch. This works very well.
