Bulbs Yay, Genie Meh. She's slo-o-o-w-w.
This is a nice deal for getting started with smart home stuff. The bulbs are really nice and considering the price of the package deal it's a steal. The package gets 4 stars. The bulbs would probably get 4 as well, not 5 because they're a bit spendy.Eufy Genie is not spectacular. It'd be 3 stars on it's own. Sound is ok (Better than dot I think) but, she's slow! Probably a slower CPU embedded in there. I expect Echo or Dot to respond in 1 - 1.5 seconds at least. Genie takes about 5 seconds... OK to get a feel for things, but painful if you're used to Echo. It's fine for my office where I want to listen to some music and turn the lights off 1x per day. It wouldn't be fine for the Main Smart home hub.

The Genie is a terrible product
The speaker is amazing--much better than anything Amazon makes. But the device is terrible. You can speak a command while standing two feet away from a speaker and the response will come from a speaker fifteen feet away. Consistently. It will stop working, and require you to unplug and restart. Consistently. And now, after installing a new modem (2.4 GHz, as is required by Eufy) my devices refuse to connect, saying the password is wrong. Spoiler: the password is NOT wrong, I had three different people look at it before I entered.) And the Help option in the app? HAHAHAHAHA.It works as well as the device.

Great gateway to the world of connect homes!
This bundle is perfect for those looking to dip a toe into the smart home pool. There isn't a better balance between features and price in the marketplace today. You get a Genie unit, which is comparable to (and in some ways better than) the Echo Dot, and two connected lightbulbs that are capable of different shades of white. Here's a quick bullet point review for each:Eufy Genie- Slightly taller and wider than a Dot, but with the benefit of better sound- Not really comparable to a full fledged bluetooth speaker from UE or Bose, but for a small, budget speaker that also has smart functionality, the sound is more than adequate. Certainly more space-filling than a Dot- Voice recognition is good. So long as its not directly under a TV or bookshelf speaker playing music or movies, the unit picks up verbal cues extremely well- Similar interactivity vs Alexa in terms of visual cues and response time- My biggest peeve used to be a lack of Spotify support, but they've since fixed that. Tell the Genie to play a song from your playlist and it will happily complySmart Bulbs- Bright! These things put out a solid amount of lumens- The white spectrum is great on these. I have Philips Hue bulbs too and they're comparable to the White Ambiance bulbs at a fraction of the price- Ability to use these with Alex or Google Assistant is great. If you end up preferring the Home Mini you got for the holidays, you can hook up these bulbs through that ecosystem as well- Only thing to be mindful of is the size. The bulbs are a fair bit larger (taller) than standard A19 bulbs. May poke out of downward-facing fixtures, which isnt the most attractive- Response time through Alexa could use some work. Probably has something to do with latency. With the EufyHome app, you're directly controlling the bulbs via Wifi (I believe), whereas if you ask Alexa to control them, you're sending a command to the Amazon server which needs to be processed and sent back to your Genie to then dispatch the command. So you'll notice a difference there- A benefit of being controlled via Amazon (or Google) servers vs strictly locally is that you can manipulate them remotely. I can turn them on from work and have my home lit up when i arriveAltogether, this setup is feature-rich and great quality for the asking price. It's a terrific gift for anyone who wants to get comfortable with smart home devices.

Good starter kit for smarthome
I had chance to buy these cheaper since there was promotion for eufy's robovac cleaners. Having Alexa support intrigued me and I gave it a shot. I liked it a lot. I actually ordered 3 devices from echo family. This is a good starter pack for smart home which will give a entry level feeling for a smart home.

Genie vs. Dot?
Great, but Genie does not do all the things a dot can do, so be careful. The bulbs are perfect. I use them for outside and leave switch on then program them to come on at night.

It works!
This bundle was a good deal. I always thought that it would make me lazy, which it does, but it’s so seamless to use. The setup might be a little tricky for some, but just reach out to the call center team and they’ll get you up and running in no time!

Alexa Integration
This device constantly disconnects from Alexa and I have to start the set up process all over again......including removing the light bulbs. This is very frustrating. Only reason I haven’t returned it is because it was technically free with the eufy vacuum I bought.
