This is NOT a new original Dell cord! The real replacement cord is sold on the Dell website for $6 cheaper then this one, also with free shipping!! We bought it and after a month it now doesn’t work and the laptop says “plugged in but not charging”. My return window closed 3 days ago so I can’t even return it! Do not be fooled and do not buy this!

This is a defective charger. My laptop does not recognize the charger, so it provides power, but it will not charge the battery at all.Apparently there is a loose wire that indicates to the laptop that it’s a Dell 130W charger or something. That wire needs to be repaired which makes me believe this unit was used & not refurbished or tested properly.

My Dell Precision 5510 shows a warning that the charger is not recognized and not 130W and not charging. Returning it.

This power pack works like the one which came with my XPS 15, but check the description to make sure the plug fits your XPS. I bought the wrong pack originally, but vendor accepted a return with no problems. I later purchased another as backup, because it easy to bend the pin in the plug which fits the computer. Lousy design, but that's Dell's fault. There are other vendors selling "Dell parts" at lower prices, but they don't look like the OEM product, and are probably counterfeit. These cost a little more, but are the real thing.

So I've had some charging issue with this product randomly. It wouldn't charge my laptop for some reason and after I always had to fix my laptop going through some error thingy...and last night my laptop got ****ed up. And my laptop is brand new, only a few months old....dude.... It was my mistake to get a charger from amazon just because it was cheaper. It's damaged for real so now I have to deal with bigger problem.

My Dell XPS 15 9560 would not recognize this charger and would therefore not charge the computer with it. I don't know if I just got a defective charger, or if this is not a true Dell charger. But I'm returning it for a refund.

Product delivered was as described - an OEM Dell replacement charger. Worked perfectly for my XPS laptop.Update 25 May 19: Charger worked for less than a year, then had to be replaced. Dell OEM chargers send a signal to the laptop that it is a Dell charger. When that stops working, the laptop will not charge and you have to replace the charger. As with many things, Dell OEM chargers are made in China where quality apparently is not job one.

Whether it was coincidence or a product flaw, I used this product for less than a week before the power connector inside my Dell XPS15 laptop broke with a 3mm piece of plastic falling out as I unplugged this power supply. So, the attempt to save a few bucks on a power supply ended up costing me money for a new computer.
