I ordered this mug in the ‘coffee tone’. It’s solid, large, and well-made. The materials feel authentic, and the ceramic walls and handle are nice and thick. I’d definitely order this in another color.To my eyes, the ‘coffee tone’ mug has a smooth, light green glaze closest to the base followed by a rustic coffee-toned glaze and finally a very dark brown/black color at the top which has a different texture. At the very base of the mug there’s a thin beige rim with the authentic stoneware texture. I love the contrast of the different textures and colors. I also love the shape of this mug with the base having a slightly larger diameter than the top.This mug has already had a lot of use and has been put through the dishwasher several times – the fact that it is dishwasher safe is a big pro for me!No negatives. Highly recommend.

I like the weight or heft in this mug. It isn't too light, nor too heavy -- somewhere in the middle. That and it hold a fair amount of coffee - although I kept it closer to 10 ounces (claim in 13.5 ounces) just to be safe with a hot liquid (or if you wanted to add a little something to your joe....creamer, whisky, etc.).I handwashed it just to be safe, and after one use so far so good.All in all, it's a mug! Plain and simple. It looks fancier than some, but at the price it is a pretty good deal.The only issue are the color selections. I got the 'coffee' but debated about the 'blue.' Mix and match for a nice set, but still another option would be nice.

I've had my eye on mugs like these at my local farmers market for a long time. I've never been able to justify spending $60 on a mug, so I've never gotten one. I saw this and decided to go for it since it was half the price of others. The mug arrived in a nice, perfectly cushioned box. No way was it gonna get broken in transit. It's a great size. Not as small as a normal coffee cup, but not too big that it feels hard to handle. The colors are beautiful and calming. I'm old school when it comes to some of my dishes, and prefer to hand wash them. Very easy to wash. This would be a great gift for anyone, even those hard to buy for people!

A ceramic mug with an earth-tone glaze and a capacity of 12 ounces. That's twice the size of a French 6 ounce coffee; my French press and my pour over cone both make two French cups worth of coffee. Using a measuring cup, one could fill up the coffee cup to the brim with 16 ounces of water, but the extra empty space at the top means less spillage. Additionally, it has a base slightly wider than the top, making it very stable on one's desk or table.I drink coffee - lots of coffee. I find that among all other coffee cups that I own, this is the one that I've been using exclusively since receiving it a week ago.
