Fabulous natural deodorant
I love this product. Iโve tried various natural deodorants in the past that were too sticky, didnโt work, and I didnโt like. Iโve purchased this one numerous times. It works great, smell is natural, and itโs not sticky. Some reviews complain about the cardboard packaging. Itโs so hard to find items NOT in plastic. Target used to carry the deodorant in cardboard but got rid of it years ago. So, I started buying it via amazon. It may not be perfect but I donโt find it too bad and I really appreciate having one less thing in plastic, which means less plastic getting into my body and less plastic lingering on the planet forever!! I hope Native continues with the cardboard packaging!!

Smells great, goes on a little dry
I love the idea of plastic free but the deodorant slides back in as you put it on. The longer you use it, the more it slides back which is irritating but it works. I like the smell, it doesn't cause any staining and it keeps me dry. It does not irritate my skin but it goes on dry, but its a small price to pay the avoid the plastic

Good smell, good function, okay shelf life
I like the scent (although the Boston creme one has now become my favorite), the cardboard, the ingredients, and the overall functioning. It's a great choice if you're looking for those things and can use it fairly quickly. One star off because although Native is my favorite brand and I've only bought them of late, I have found that they can become less effective the longer they sit on my shelf. This likely wouldn't be an issue for most people. I just have a collection of 3-5 scent choices at any given time, so mine don't get used as frequently and their shelf time is longer as a result. As far as the effectiveness when the tube is newer, it's completely fine. It's not an antiperspirant, so I still sweat, but it is an effective deodorant for me. I social dance and generally sweat a lot then, so I usually reapply once during the evening if the event is running more than a few hours. Even then, it's more for my own piece of mind than because I've noticed any odor. A bonus of the paper packaging: I can cut the bottom off as I use it so it takes less space when traveling. I noticed no difference in shelf life between this packaging and the typical plastic packages, and this one is a better choice for plastic reduction.

I hate the new paper packaging
I hate the new card board paper packaging. This packaging is ridiculous. It is cheap. Opening it for the first time is difficult. Closing it is difficult. Pushing the deodorant up is difficult since it is not a twist up. I keep my deodorant in the bathroom. My bathroom has a lot of moisture guess what happens when paper gets wet? I accidentally knocked over my deodorant in the sink the deodorant packaging got soggy like a paper straw. Now its even harder to put the lid on. I get your trying to help save the plant ( a little to late) and cutting cost on plastic packaging but when it comes to hygienic products and food paper packaging should be avoided. This is what vital proteins collagen did with there packaging now my collagen has a higher risk of tiny bugs like weevils going into it disgusting. Also I feel like the formula has changed or this new packaging is causing my armpits to itch. The first Native Deodorant I purchased was in normal amazing packaging and worked amazing. I thought I had finally found a deodorant for sensitive skin fragrance free NATURAL ingredients. Nope. I finally find something and it gets ruined. For such an EXPENSIVE product it should be in the fanciest packaging instead of the cheapest. Is the paper packaging organic, toxic free? or is it recycled paper toilet? I'm so annoyed from this. I was going to try Native Body lotion, but I will have to pass. I will most likely not repurchase this product again. I will continue to search for a new product that doesn't have paper packaging. The reason I stopped using Sasquatch is because they changed the formula as well and I developed a rash/ itchy arm pits. These companies should listen to their customers but they never will, they don't care. It was good while it lasted.

Sustainable, fragrance free option, sufficient for not-so-sweaty people
As a person who prefers fragrance free body care, the Native deodorant represents a good option that's also sustainable and (slightly more) natural. Personally I don't like any of the scented options of Native, maybe the Coconut Vanilla is tolerable. The scents are too strong, but I know that others like that. I want my body care to smell of nothing at all; if I want to smell good, I'll use a fragrance afterwards. The fragrance free Native deodorant helps me smell of nothing... just clean. It's not the most efficient deodorant (not even from the more natural options), but I'm not also the most sweaty or stinky person. Most time of the year the Native deodorant is just enough; and if I hike for a day in the hot summer... there will be more stinky and sweaty things than my arm pits. The selling point for me with native is the plastic free packaging, since I try to be less wasteful and more sustainable in my daily life. Don't be fooled by the cardboard packaging. Yes, in time it gets slightly oily and you can see in the picture that after a couple of months the cardboard looks yellow... but it's perfectly functional and won't disintegrate before you use up the deodorant. I have sensitive skin and the Native deodorant fragrance free doesn't irritate my armpits even after shaving. Usually from the regular deodorants / antiperspirant with aluminum my armpits get slightly darkened, with Native I have no issue. The deodorant is creamy and glides easily. It stains the clothes, but I have a solution for that. I apply the deodorant at night and it the morning I wipe any excess.

Great deodorant, very bad case. Buy plastic version instead
The Deodorant deserves 5 stars as the ingredients are very natural, safe, and feel much better than mainstream deodorants; skin absorbs chemicals nearly as effective as eating something so something to consider. It seems to last most of the day, with heavy activity it is good to apply again but seems to work better than others. The "Plastic Free" packaging is very low quality and deforms with regular use, time, and/or humidity. It feels like pieces of cardboard put together and they become difficult to move and operate. For how long the deodorant stick lasts the ends don't justify the means to save a small amount of plastic for a container that deforms. This company does, however, make a plastic-cased version which is much better, strongly recommend that and I recommend the company to stop producing these bad cases. I was offered a refund via gift card from the manufacturer which was good, however the design for these cases is flawed and shouldn't be sold the way they are. I do recommend Native's plastic-cased deodorants.

Love Native products!
The plastic free can be a bit confusing because the shipping via Amazon at times isnโt the best. When it arrived it was shipped with a case of Almond milk which was heavy. I mean I couldnโt have places in the box with my idk, pillowcases I ordered I suppose right. {insert sarcasm here} or even the small jar of Mayo. But by golly ship it with a case of almond milk so it squishes the be-jesus out of it. So the bottom cardboard piece fell off the deodorant. At first I didnโt know if it was the bottom or top. It was my first time ordering the plastic free one. But it was the only logical fit. But I couldnโt get it to go back on. But thank the good Lord someone posted a 16 sec video on how it works and I watched it a couple times and seen how you push from the bottom. Which I had been trying to do and nada! But ohhh, that outer pice youโre look at is a cover that slides off the top. So I looked under it and seen two pieces of cardboard and grabbed my tweezers and pulled on the innermost tube while holding the outer covering and it slide right out. THEN I was able to slide the bottom piece back on that was knocked off during the delivery via Amazon. So now I know how it works. So Iโm good now. Fwiw, Walmart also sells Native brand items. I did pick up this scent a couple days ago while there because now my youngest daughter wants to use it as well. But this must be a popular scent but it was the last one in that slot. While all the others were still fairly full. I tell ya what. The body wash in this scent is also really good too. Kinda reminds me Old Spice with a tiny splash of Stetson. Itโs mild enough not to give a headache since I am sensitive to scents but just strong enough to give a hint of a lingering scent that smells good. And itโs bigger bottles than Bath and Body Works and toxic free as well. You really canโt beat that!!! As an avid BBW user for many many years. I love this! Iโve recently started changing all of our products to toxic free and finding products that smell good but work can be difficult. So glad I found Native.

Works for me
Only product I can use with the biologics I'm on that has changed my body chemistry. Most of the deodorants I've tried will not work anymore. This one does for me. I've also have had a difficult time finding 'Unscented' in any of the stores around me. The cardboard packaging is OK, but when you get to the very end of the deodorant, it falls out! And there is still quite a bit left to use. I find this a waste. Than trying to hold it while applying to your underarms is most annoying as it's slippery and messy. Hard to get a grip on it! I'm not cheap, (frugal yes), but neither is this deodorant cheap. I'd like to be able to use what I've paid for. Update: The unscented stopped working for some reason so I decided to try the Coconut Vanilla and it is perfect. Works great all day and the smell is mellow.

IT'S AMAZING, HOWEVER..
It's literally AMAZING! Lasts all day even when I don't touch up, after a really long and sweaty day. It's the best for anyone having issues with strong sweat. However the container sucks lmao. Pleeeeease get the one in plastic. 30โฌ and the product is paper and not practical at all. It doesn't allow you to roll out and roll in. I basically have to use my fingers to push it out and back in. It would have been 5 stars. It does stain clothes but just a little scrubbing with some soap before throwing it in the washing machine gets it all off.

Stay away from thr charcoal variation. It stains everything.
Native is a good deo stick. I wanted to try more than one variety, and i can say that after using the charcoal, all my white tops undergarments got stained with black sandy grainy pattern and it didn't wash off. I had to throw them and replace them. If you're using this with any light color whether it's a top or an undergarment, it WILL stain it.

Solution for- trouble with opening
So before I bought this product I read a lot of reviews about how everyone loves this but have trouble opening it. I still decided to try it. It got delivered today. .. I see EXACTLY what they are talking about. But there's a simple solution. .. just cut two tiny wedges in the lid like I did in the pic. One in each side. And it will open smoothly. I mean ideally the company should just make that change in their packaging. That will be easier.

Great product. Horrible packaging.
Iโve always loved this deodorant but the new packaging is horrible! Bring back the old model it was so much easier to use and apply.
