Wonderful gift
I bought this for my daughters 1st birthday. She is 19 months now. She enjoys babbling and going through the book by herself, pointing out things in the pictures. The doll is just adorable and my daughter is fond of it, often choosing to cuddle her in bed and talk to her in the mornings lol

Gorgeous and delightful
So completely delightful. I bought this for myself and as a gift, both recipients being old enough to know lots more about Frida than is covered - but still loved it. Everything about this made me smile, and I even got a little emotional. The simplistic style was adorable and I appreciated the little section at the end targeted towards mature readers. This would be absolutely incredible for a child aged four to eight. (But it’s just as great as a cute book for grown-ups!) I truly believe that Frida would approve of this book.

Great book to inspire young readers
Beautifully illustrated story book about the life of Frida Kahlo and written in a way that younger children can understand. The book finishes with a short biography about the artist and where to discover more about her. My seven year old has enjoyed reading the book and asking lots of questions about the artist. I will definitely be buying other books in the series.

Inspiring and Adorable
Lovely book with really cute illustrations and a great message, purchased for a friend's daughter. Frida Kahlo's perseverance and talent comes across beautifully in this excellent mini biography for young readers.

a good way to teach children some important history.
i liked the layout, there is enough info and history to draw a child into wanting to look further into the person they are reading about. the series has a lot of subjects who might not have ordinarily been chosen for a book, so this is a refreshing change.

So much to overcome!
This is a very inspirational biography about someone who didn't let any of the (many) physically painful obstacles she endured prevent her from creating art. The drawings are (deliberately) stylistically simple, and an interesting choice for Kahlo's biography. My son loved the book, and said Frida Kahlo is "The artist that never stopped."
