RDL G510HS Extractor Fan with Humidistat / Timer (for 4" Ducting)

I deleted my previous review in which I said the fan was very noisy because, upon reflection it was less than fair. I discovered that a great deal of the noise was coming from the fan blades hitting some shards of plastic hanging from the duct tubing. By trimming these back and adjusting the angle of the ducting that problem was solved. While the fan could still not be described as silent or even particularly quiet it is a vast improvement and perfectly acceptable. I also discovered, (if all else fails read the instructions!) that it had a timer adjustment and it now runs only for 3 minutes after the light is switched off. I would probably buy another as the one in the other bathroom is starting to give trouble.

Very fast delivery service but unfortunately the fan is so noisy! Far noisier than our old one. We're now looking to get a silent one as it is fitted in our en suite and drives us crazy if we turn the light on in there at night. I checked the noise level at about 1.5 M away and the highest level recorded was 78db.One week in and this has quietened down a lot, so not as bad as we first thought.

Bought 2 to replace old ones.One works well but the other can run for hours no mater what I do.so becareful what you buy.I think the model that runs for a set time after the light switch is turned off is a far better idea

the item I ordered was a RDL G501HS the item delivered is a KS G501HS the two items are identical apart from the RDL KS letters.
