Disabled through cervical spine damage and now have the perfect travel bed and garden lounger!
I have very bad cervical spine problems and endure a LOT of pain at night from pressure due to Static Mechanical Allodynia. I bought this to use as a spare bed for myself so I could accommodate my frail mother occasionally (and also to take to her sometimes too). I have to say that the size is as good as a normal single bed for me (I’m a slim 5’8”) and the memory foam is about 5cm thick. Overall it’s is extremely comfortable indeed!!! In fact, I normally have to have a pillow to my side to rest a leg on (or between my legs), in order to keep y spine straight, but the slightly raised sides are perfectly placed for this too.I also find that even high-back garden chairs etc leave me in agony after an hour or so and I’m virtually unable to walk once I’ve managed to get up.... so I justified the expense on this because I can use it in the garden in the summer to get some fresh air and daylight time too (I’m stuck in the house most of the time) and it’s going to be perfect for that too. The build quality and design is excellent and I’m sure it is going to stand the use it will get for a very long time. Due to the build, and also the memory foam which is heavy of course, it is a hefty lump but someone else will be moving it around for me and I would expect serious fishermen may have a trolley with which to transport it to their swim(?). I expect we will use a large-footed sack truck if ever it needs walking any distance if travelling to family sleep-overs. I have to say though that those sleepovers haven’t even been a consideration before but now they are. I saw another reviewer saying they bought it as an overflow bed for their B&B and I can see why..., perfect! In conclusion, even at £130 (inc bag: meaning it can be stored in out dry shed and kept clean) it was a bit of a punt to hope it was going to be the solution to some VERY difficult and stressful problems for me, but I’m so glad I took the plunge as it’s the best thing I ever did. Thank you so much to the manufacturer for making this!

real comfort.
This is a great bedchair! Have to say that the memory foam makes a significant difference on the comfort levels. It is larger than I anticipated, but having said that, if storage and transport aren't a problem for you.........this is the one to get.The only reason I didn't award a 5 star rating is because when I opened the bed to check it out, I found that paint on the hinge point of the legs flaked off as it seems like a metal to metal contact point. It would benefit from some sort of bush at these pivot points. It'll be something to keep an eye on if it's being used in damp conditions and perhaps have to treat for rust in the future.

A bulky wast of money
For the guys who said this was better than thee bed! You have got to be kidding. I don't know how anyone could sleep on this. It is uncomfortable and creakes every time you move. It is a cumbersome thing to carry even folded up. Total wast of money gone back to my airbed with a fome mat on it.

Great for cold camps
I am a regular camper, who has bought one of these beds having lost patience with inflatable beds, which seem to go soft over night. I did my research and bought this on the back of the reviews. I've just come back from a four night trip with friends (wet, cold mid Sept weather) and I am delighted with how this bed performed. All of the "downsides" have been noted in other reviews (it's big, it takes up a lot of car space, it doesn't come with a carrying bag or case, you can't fold up the bed with the mattress attached etc), but the positives far out weigh these niggles. The bed is a great size for a 6 foot plus person. It will take a lot of weight. The mattress is very comfortable. It folds down and puts away in minutes. I heartily recommend this bed. It's great to be off the floor, not lying on a floppy bag of very cold air. Definitely worth a 5 star rating. Get yourself a good sleeping bag and a large fleece blanket and you're set for cold camps.By the way, this comes with a lovely, soft pillow. I've also bought the bag that the manufacturer sells through Amazon - do get it!

Well worth buying
Fantastic; use it for camping and it's the best night sleep ever. If you have back/neck problems this is perfect and the memory foam mattress is so comfy. It is big but isn't as heavy as it looks, easy to put up and down too. The rest of the family have put in their orders. Well worth the money.

48 hours
Recieved the bed,and it looked the buisness, build quality was good both in materials used and finished look.was a little suprised by the bulkiness of the bed but it was not too heavy.the detachable mattress is fitted on to bed via three velco strips. This memory foam makes all the difference as opposed to a standard bed.Just done a 48 hour stint and was impressed by the dimensions and comfort of the bedchair. All in all well worth the money in my opinion.
