UPDATE!!! -- 6/26/15Ok. I contacted my seller (A Better Life Now) about my unit rusting. He (Paul Gatlin) communicated directly with ProPur FOR me about my problem. They advised that I clean the rust off and try again which I did but the rust returned so I contacted my seller again. Again, they contacted ProPur who IMMEDIATELY stated that they would ship a NEW POLISHED tank to me completely free of charge, which they DID!While I was NOT happy with my original unit rusting, I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the way both my seller AND ProPur handled the situation. Like it or not, stuff goes WRONG! To my thinking, it is HOW you HANDLE those problems that ultimately determines whether an outcome is good or bad. These two parties involved did EVERYTHING right! They were respectful of my problem and courteous when offering possible solutions. I would buy this product and patronize this seller again in a heartbeat!It was NOT fun for me to DISASSEMBLE the spigot and remove my filters and tank knob to RE-ATTACH to the new SS tanks and lid that they sent but THAT is what is necessary if you must change out rusting tanks/lid for the newer highly polished version. It was a SMALL price to pay to hopefully end for GOOD the issue I had with my rusting tank & lid. To bemoan this necessity any more than this would be ridiculously childish. I just wanted to let everyone know that is what you will have to do if you have to replace your tanks.So...ULTIMATELY, after a blip, I am a satisfied customer from both the manufacturer AND my wonderful seller. INCREASING my star rating from 3 stars to 4! :-)THANK YOU to Paul Gatlin @ A Better Life Now AND ProPur for the way you handled this problem. I have only praise for both of you!I just noticed that my unit is RUSTING!!! $300 and the unit is RUSTING!!!??? Will look up the mfg as I'm not sure WHO warranties these things (seller or mfg) and see what their reaction is. I have held off reviewing this because I have had questions about my rate of filtering. My water actually filters VERY quickly---by HOURS compared with what has been reported as standard and I wasn't exactly comfortable with that. BUT...since I can't measure what this filter system is doing like I could with my ZERO water TDS meter I was just taking them at their word. Always hoped I would get a lab sample read to see if it actually filtered out fluoride and the other contaminants I bought it to filter (municipal water supply). Well, NOW that the inside as well as the LID of my container has multiple RUST spots I will definitely try to get on the ball to get a water analysis.NOT a happy camper at this point. Have not read a review since I bought but will see what everyone else is saying now.To be continued...

I purchased this filtration system in an effort to have a viable source of water during a crisis. It was a bit pricey, but had solid ratings from others. Unfortunately, it was ordered at the same time the COVID-19 response was put into place country-wide and the delivery was significantly delayed. My order was somehow misplaced on the delivery side and after I discovered this fact and contacted ProPur with the information they were on it with a same day email. I was advised by their contact (Dee) that she would be handling the order to insure no further complications. Not only was the order re-initiated, I was kept apprised of its status on a daily basis with good results. Hats off to the team at ProPur for a job well done! The system itself is of remarkable quality with a straightforward set of instructions to get it prepared. I'll order from these folks again based upon my experience.

If this water purifier does everything it says it does I am a happy camper. As I have no way of testing the water, I have to take everything on faith that the truth is being told. I did test the alkalinity with pH strips on two occasions. I tested my saliva, tap water and the ProPur water. I won with 7.5. Tap water was 7.0 and ProPur 7.25, so it does give a teensy more alkaline result than city water. But my main concern is all the chemicals dumped inadvertently and on purpose (including fluoride) into the city water. As for taste, I don't notice any difference between my Brita water filter and the ProPur water. For the past twenty years I've been buying my drinking water at a water store that provides reverse osmosis filtered water. But I got tired of running out of it at inopportune times and having to use my Brita backup system that doesn't exclude fluoride, driving over to the store and then lugging my three two-gallon plastic bottles up 21 stairs. I know that no home gravity system is going to do as good a job as the water store, but if it is 95% as effective, I am okay with that. I also bought a stainless steel water dispenser instead of storing the water in plastic. The only plastic the water touches now is the base and tubes of the ProPur filters but that is for only a short period of time as the water passes through. I can only cross my fingers that the system is working!

This is doing a great job for me, I feel no need to get the 3rd filter. So I use 1 plug inside, and no - it doesn't leak. Yes, the filters leave a bit of water in the top - that's because the seat at the bottom of the filter takes up about 1/2". It needs to seal you know, and - so what if a 1/2" of water is in there? You're going to be pouring a lot more in soon!Mine has NOT rusted, but yes - stainless can rust, nothing like regular steel though.Why is this a great choice? Great test results with out the potential for leaks like in line filters. Great test results without the short lived charcoal filters (Berkey). I ordered the sight glass spigot also, which is plastic so I chose not to use it - for 2 days. The ability to see how much filtered water you have - for me - far outweighed a little plastic exposure.I drank the filtered water for 5 days, then took a glass of straight tap water and was repulsed by the smell and taste! I couldn't believe what this unit was filtering out and horrified that I had been drinking what came out of the tap. I'm completely happy with this purchase.

So far we have been more than pleased with this purchase. Tap water in our area is not pleasant to drink and this water filter will work out cheaper for us than purchasing bottled water with the advantage of using the water for cooking, the dogs and plants and, of course, we will no longer be polluting the planet with plastic bottles.

This is an excellent piece of kit. I hadn't realised just how bad my water was until I started filtering it through the ProPur. It's very easy to put together and very well constructed and the difference in the taste of the water is amazing.Everyone should have one of these and if you live in a flouridated water area as I do then it's even more important.

Great product. Better tasting water, fast fill up time. Had product for over 7 months now, highly recommended. Worth the money. The filters last for one year, easy to clean.

The propur provides absolutely fantastic tasting water. No more horrible chlorine taste. I actually find that I'm feeling all the better even after just a week of drinking the water from the propur. Great!
