As an aficionado of biltong, this selection was superb in just about everything. Great flavour, great texture and almost what I would call a reasonably warm bite. Like others, the eat by date of 48 hours sounds like an oxymoron as the purpose of biltong is to preserve the meat for long periods of fridge free travel! Unlike others I very much welcome the presence of fat as therein lies the flavour. I do however mourn the dearth of really hot chilli bites on the market. Just can’t get em.

Good taste Biltong. decent quality made. i've tried many Biltongs over the time although i'm not originally from South Africa. i can fairly tell which one's good or not. and this one i can say, one of the top brands you can go for. definitely less artificial than some other brands. although it made with Habanero chilli, it isn't that spicy to be honest. and that's ok for me as i can add more chilli flakes myself. quality of the meat is also good enough. i woudln't say the best of best, but it is high quality enough for me to continually purchase. i would definitely order again.

The Peri Peri is tasty (but quite garlicky). The Habanero Chilli is excellent -nice and spicy, just right ! Both 500g bags ordered (Peri Peri & Habanero) were very good quality and overall good value for money. Will buy again!

I have purchased most of the biltong brands on Amazon, I have been just cycling through them to find the one I really enjoy. While this doesn’t beat home made it’s pretty bloody close. Will be getting more.

I've ordered biltong from many places, including some local places that do it fresh, it's always tasty and has a bit of moisture from it, but this was the driest biltong I've ever had, so if you enjoy your biltong dry, then this is for you, the taste is great.

It is really difficult to get good quality wet and fatty biltong. This really hits the spot, a taste of South Africa.

This was horrid! very tough chewy cheap cut meat. Tasted like old not kept well stock, sadly put straight in the bin! complete waste of money (and it ain't cheap!) also more needs to be said about the very short eat by date, 48 hours after opening isn't very long for something very spicy, fine... if you are having a big party, not so if you live in a household where you are the only one that can eat it. Defiantly will not be buying again.

As a semi professional biltong eater I would say this is pretty good. I prefer my tong drier and chewier. This is more like the stuff you get in the supermarket in texture but much tastier and better quality. This is very good value for money. I would buy it again.

Great taste, and good value. Could perhaps be a bit dryer in my own taste but all in all great.

Als langjähriger Jerky-Liebhaber, habe ich erstmals Biltong bestellt, nachdem ich gesehen habe, dass die Auswahl in Schottland da größer als beim Jerky war. Ich bestellte Habanero, weil ich kein Problem mit Schärfe habe und möglichst viel Geschmack wollte. Der Beutel weicht vom Bild ab, aber das ist kein Problem, die Deklarierung war korrekt. Der Geschmack ist hervorragend und vom Schärfegrad liegt die Sorte Habanero, wie erwartet, eher im mittleren Bereich. Das Fleisch war von hervorragendender Qualität, nahezu fettfrei und ohne Sehnen oder sonstiges Unerwünschtes. Was zunächst abschreckt ist, dass auf der Packung steht, dass man das Biltong nach Anbruch nicht wieder versiegeln oder abdecken soll, und es im Kühlschrank aufbewahrt in 48std zu verzehren ist. Das ist natürlich überwiegend Quatsch bei Trockenfleisch, gerade in einem einzelnen 500gr Vakuumpack, dass sich NICHT wieder verschließen lässt. Ich habe es a 90-100gr mit Absorberpacks vakuumiert (besser als geliefert, siehe Foto) im Kühlschrank. Nochwas zur Geschmacksrichtung "Peri Peri", weil ich hierzu einige Fragen sah: PeriPeri ist im englischen Sprachgebrauch die Bezeichnung für die portugiesische Chilisorte Piri Piri, zudem wird so die Würzrichtung in Südafrika bezeichnet. Eigentlich hat diese Sorte roh eine gehörige Schärfe (unter Habanero) , aber in Würzsaucen/Mischungen ist man da eher bei 2-3 mal der Schärfe von Tabasco. In Großbritannien ist das Ganze zudem sehr Zwiebel-lastig, hierzulande dominiert der Essiggeschmack. Das Biltong bekommt insgesamt eine dicke Empfehlung von mir...evtl vor der 500-1000gr Bestellung einmal mit den 250er Packs durch die Sorten testen.

Alot better than the other flavors I’ve tried from BEEFit it’s good maybe not spicy enough but at least it tastes nice and it’s chewy which I also like. Recommended.

Schmeckt mir sehr gut, aber leider sehr kleine Stücke, zum Bier perfekt wenn es groesser Stücke wären!!!
