This toy was a big hit with the young 'uns and with their mom. They all enjoy drawing. You do have to put quite a bit of pressure to erase. I suggest a soft towel. The included scrap of material works but is a little flimsy. I've used a baby towel and that works perfectly. I have purchased three. One for each of the boys and one to keep here. The boys are 2 and 4. It's rated for 3 and up but the 2 yo had just as much fun as his brother.

Bought 2 as gifts for Grandchildren. They are thin which is good but flimsy. They are not durable at all and the markers do not wipe off no matter how we try from plain dry cloth to cleaning products and several things in-between. This quality it more fitting of a Dollar type store. I wouldn't recommend paying more than $5 for this and don't expect much. I wasn't expecting a high quality product but midgrade would have been nice.

So far, no functionality problems. Other reviews were useful with regards to warnings about ink/erasing. However, it requires 4 AAA batteries. I’m usually a pro with batteries, however, even with tools, you can only get 2 of the 4 batteries back out. We will have to carefully drill holes in the plastic case when the batteries finally die to change them. If I had realized this, I would have tried something else like taping 3 together on one side or something else. I’m not really sure. There’s just no mechanism for removing the 2 batteries which are now stuck in the back of the device.

I bought this (and about 60 other "like" items) to hand out to kids at a company Christmas party. You should have seen the excitement when they picked these out. I don't know whether or not they worked, easy or hard, messy or not... but I can tell you it got children excited in a project. I intentionally purchased items that would be fun to do as a family. I would definitely recommend again.

Super cheaply made, came scratched. The lights are pretty much the same when you flip through them. They markers seem like they wont last long. It will do but we could have spent a little more for better.

I love the little things she does with it. Makes me smile I finally got the right gift.
