Easy To Learn and Enjoyable To Use
I received my Boye Sock Loom and got to knitting right away.CONSTRUCTION: It is a very solid plastic loom with grooved static metal pegs & an adjustable bar (also solid) that just slots in.INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED: Not really beginner friendly & I think this is because they want you to buy their book 'I Taught Myself Loom Knitting' which they do mention (cost about £7 on Amazon). The book is not available in eBook (which would make it cheaper). I found an eBook (also available in paper form) called 'Sock Loom Basics' for the KB sock loom that uses the same gauge etc (cheapest paper form £2.26, cheapest eBook kindle £4.89).'Sock Loom Basics' is also supported by videos on YouTube etc. I really like this book with its clear pictures and instructions so I do recommend it.YARN: The yarn used is supper fine (1) sock yarn, finger weight - which is 3ply - 4ply. I suggest if your just learning buy any old ball of 4ply and practice a bit making baby size socks before paying out loads on the good stuff.PROBLEMS: The adjustable bar does move a tiny bit when your working the stitches. Just laying your finger on it as you work the stitches, this solves the issue and your finger is naturally there anyway (I found) so no issue. If you do manage to 'pop' the bar, like I noted someone else mention - I found it's not a loom problem, it's a user problem. Lol. Check your tension. :-)PATTERNS: You can buy these in either book (aforementioned) or go to free sites. One I really like is www.ravelry.com (I've been a member for some years because I also knit & crochet). Its free to join & there is a whole community of people on there aswell for support & advice covering knitting, loom knitting, crochet etc.Packaging was fit for purpose and it arrived within the given time.I do recommend this as it is a nice loom with, from my view, no real issues & very easy to master. I bought it from Amazon and also recommend them because of their reliability and delivery.

A few flaws but overall a good buy
I bought this because I wanted to get a sock loom and I'd previously purchased the Boye Round Loom kit and was extremely happy with the build and quality of the round loom kit. Now I would have given this a 5 star rating but for a couple of things. The very first peg that I use has been placed on backwards, at the time of starting my sock I didn't notice to begin with until a few rounds in and wondered why I was struggling to find the groove on the first peg. Now at the time I thought the pegs were fixed in and couldn't be removed but one of the pegs came lose and fell out when I was doing a round, so I can fix this but because I have very weak hands (I suffer from arthritis) and I'm going to need someone to do this for me once I've finished my sock. The second little niggle I have is that it is a little awkward to use. It's not much of a problem but because the plastic is quite shiny and slippery, when I place the loom on my lap to do a traditional knit stitch the loom can slide about a little.Thirdly and lastly, this loom isn't for beginners. I'm new to loom knitting and I've found that the instructions are confusing so I've turned to YouTube. There's lots of good channels you can subscribe to and I've practically learned every project I've done by watching it on YouTube. If you're a beginner and want to learn to do socks then I'd suggest watching some videos first before committing to buying.Overall I'm pleased with the Sock loom, it is taking me a while to get used to and at the moment I'm very slow with the knitting but I'm hoping the more I get used to the shape and feel of the loom the quicker I'll get! I can't compare this item to other sock looms but for the price I think it's well worth it :)

Great value sock loom
Very good value for money compared to other sock looms. 1, its adjustable to make any size of sock. 2, it will work with very fine yarns up to and including double knit yarns. 3, the moveable bar slots in and out easily but remains securely in place while you work. 3, the pegs are metal and smooth. 4, the loom base is made from very strong and durable plastic. 5, the price was very reasonable compared to what is asked for rival brands. It is a bit awkward to work the stitches on the inside when making smaller socks but it's only 5 stitches so no big problem. I really love this loom!I only need to purchase a sock loom for making thicker socks for winter and I will be set.:-)

broken hook handle whilst doing first sock
I'm making my first ever sock on the loom, and have just finished the heel and the hooks handle has broken 1/3 of the way down!!! crochet hooks are no good as they don't go in the pegs grooves... so now I'm stuck!!

Poor quality, not worth buying.
Fairly easy to use, if you have experience of regular loom knitting. Instructions sent with loom are a water of paper, you will need to go online and find instruction videos. First time I used it one of the pegs broke, poor quality metal and on inspection several pegs were close to failure too. My advice is to spend a bit more money on something with better quality product.

Very well put together product
Well made little loom, good firm pegs, good tool, movable bar stays put and easy to handle. Only thing for me is that using it for my size I had to put the slider in and found it too difficult to do anything other than a straight forward knit stitch on the sliding bar pegs, just these few pegs too fiddly and difficult to work for me. Don't be put off by that because I think I can put much of my problem down to old fingers! Have since bought the little 'fixed' KB 52 peg fine guage so all my working pegs are always on the outside! (Phew, so glad I bought it before the price hyped up)

Good starter loom for beginners
I wanted to have a go at loom knitting socks but didn't want to spend too much money buying a loom in case the hobby wasn't for me. This was one of the cheapest brands I found and it's good quality for the price. One of the pegs keeps coming loose but is easily pushed back in. I didn't really use the instructions as there are plenty of tutorial videos online that explain things better. Overall, a good value product for a beginner.

Tolle Ergebnisse

The Perfect Adjustable Sock Loom
I have both this and the AKB sock loom, but I have found I actually prefer working with this one. It is very sturdy but also small and light, easy to hold and work with. There is no hardware sticking out to poke you or snag your yarn as you work and because of its more compact size with the rails themselves so much thinner I find it is much easier to work on the five peg slider even when configured for smaller sizes. Excellent loom design and I am seriously considering purchasing another so I can work on two socks at once. One peg was loose, but a drop of super glue fixes that easy enough and that is a very common issue with knitting looms in general. Still love it and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to venture into sock looms and sock making. Don't rule this out if you've tried a wooden sock loom and found it heavy, cumbersome, and awkward to work on as I did. This one feels completely different.
