East Coast Dinnertime Highchair Insert (White)

nice insert to help comfort of younger baby/child - no fitting instructions supplied - took a while to realise elastic probably just needed to hold insert in shape and not for fitting under actual chair seat - no allowance made for safety harness - worked out room for waist straps to slot in between seat and arm section leg strap to come up front - had to cut two slots in back of insert in order to thread through shoulder straps - meant damaging item in order for child to be secured safely - now not totally waterproof for cleaning - silly considering insert actually same brand as chair

Perfect product. Fits into the EastCoast wooden combination highchair perfectly and stops baby form sliding on the bare wooden chair surface. Has holes for the harness, with extra holes to allow shoulder straps to be adjusted as little one get older. Side wings add additional comfort and security. Design is lovely too and is wipe clean.

I needed a padded insert for a wooden high chair sold without one. This one piece product fits the back, sides & seat of the high chair & has supported my grandson admirably, as soon as I found the advert & it was delivered. He was 7 months old when I started to use it & I could use it before he was able to sit independently. It has not interfered with the fixing points for a safety harness in the chair. I would have had to wait to use the chair safely until he was much older & bigger had it not been for the purchase of this insert.

Adds padding to a wooden high chair, definitely needed! Nice bright design.

Delivery time ok, we did request snail mail so no complaints there. The product fits perfectly the straps fit comfortably over the padding, it doesn't quiet seem to fit as high as the picture would suggest but i would guess if it did the fitting of the straps may be compromised. Cleaning is easy and the fact the side pads are flaps and not attached to the seat cushion means there are less crevises for bits of food to hide in. The little fella does slip abit but it is not really a problem as without he would undoubtedly slip more. Reasonable price compared to comparable ones so all in all happy campers

It looks good and is comfortable by what I can see while my granddaughters sitting in it, the only thing wrong is the shoulder straps hang down not on her shoulders, reason is there r no holes to push the straps through the back cushion and making it fit properly against her back, maybe an idea for the makers to look at.

My baby kept on sliding forward because the strap between her legs could not be adjusted to be further back. I cut an old hair tie and tied it on to each side so it goes across the back, just behind her bum, and holds the insert in place its fold (see first photo). While annoying, I was able to fix this issue myself. However, she is now 11 months old, so I have been using it for about 5 months, and the hole where the between-legs strap goes has torn quite badly (see second photo). It first tore when I had only been using it for about 2-3 months and she generally concentrates on her food and doesn't move much in the highchair, so it wasn't that she tore it because of excessive movement. This is disappointing because the insert is not cheap and otherwise I would really like the product, but it hasn't even stood up to average use for me.I tried to get in touch with East Coast about this but they only have a phone number and I was not able to get through to anyone on this number. I left two voicemails asking them to ring me back and explaining the issue, but never heard anything back. Most disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend and I would not buy from East Coast again due to the poor customer service.

I bought this to take with us when we go to restaurants. I found most high chairs at eateries are uncomfortable and my six month old looks small in them meaning there is too much room to wiggle around. I took this along to a recent meal out and people in the table next to us thought we were given a better gig chair than them. Haha, I am so glad I thought of this :-) it's obviously really easy to clean which is a bonus. Just wipe it down, no need for a washing machine.
