Solo Stove 42" Fire Pit Surround | Protective Barrier & Outdoor Tabletop

This Surround is really a great product Solo produced. I give it 5 stars for look, quality, presumed longevity, damn good looking, burns TOO hot and it’s worth the crazy money. Clearly a lot of thought was put into it, and the price seems to reflect that. Considering the Bonfire Stove was only $250 + tax USD, props to them for creating an accessory that actually costs MORE than the product itself (purchased 10/23 for $$350 + tax USD). Solo convinced MANY people to buy it because it’s such a darn good idea. In the end, the question for me really was: Would you pay $600 + tax USD for the package because of how good it is? I’d say, yes, because it’s quite attractive and it burns wood almost too well. Like, I’m considering only using partially wet wood from here on out - an idea that is of course ludicrous - because I don’t want to keep buying wood. I burnt through all my brush in the first week I owned it, and I refuse to burn garbage (although I haven’t really researched it, besides knowing the rather obvious: it’s a terrible idea to burn plastic-anything and I feel betrayed by friends when they just nonchalantly throw the dessert Dixie cup with half their dinner pudding still in it into the roaring flames with an expression that can only be described as a “blood-sucking malignant, malevolent tumor” and their spork goes, weeeeee, oh noooooo *HOT INTO THE FIRE*.” In the end, the last natural, virile animalistic ritual man conquers is that of building a perfect fire. The Solo Surround paired with the Bonfire Stove product achieves a perfect state of euphoria.

It's durable and easy to assemble. We got it to protect us and our grandkids from getting too close and possibly burned.

Comes exactly as advertised! Easy to assembly. We love the protection it provides when children are nearby. Well built! Very pleased with this product! The outer rim remains cool and easy to place cups on.

I recently got the Solo Stove 52.6 Inch Fire Pit Surround Tabletop and was initially frustrated due to the lack of instructions and necessary hardware. However, after reaching out to Solo Stove, they quickly sent out the instructions and hardware, and the shipping was lightning fast! Now that I have everything I need, I absolutely love the surround! It meets every expectation I had, and the design looks great. I’m now able to enjoy my fire pit as intended. Thank you, Solo Stove, for turning my experience around!

A little pricey but (I think) looks better than other knockoffs. Sturdy and fits my Solo Yukon without issue. Keeps children from getting to close to fire. Bag with fasteners was broke open when received and 3 washers were missing. Five minutes and a phone call to customer service resulted in a complete package of new washers being expressed mailed.

Sturdy and easy to build. Works well for the 1 time I have used it. Looking forward to cold nights around the Solo Stove

TLDR Version- Pros: Performs exactly as advertised. Cons: 1) Lack of provided weather cover and the absurd price of the one sold separately, and 2) assembly not at all quick as advertised. Long form review- We love our Bonfire and use it frequently. I purchased the Surround after our usually-careful dog almost incinerated the tip of her tail while getting pets from a guest. 🫣 This is was in my cart and purchased within 10 minutes after that. We’ve only done one small fire but so far, but the Surround performed exactly as it should. The dog can’t turn herself into a Charmander any more, which is an ideal feature. The table is also big plus, and doesn’t get too hot. I wouldn’t necessarily leave a cold drink on it for too long, as it definitely warms up once a good fire gets going. But I’m excited to try that in winter with a hot drink; I would imagine it will stay somewhat warm. I have only two complaints: First, the assembly time as advertised is 20 minutes. This is a complete joke. I’ve seen people claim it took them an hour and a half; while it didn’t take me that long, I would say plan to set aside 45 minutes to an hour. It comes in a about 30 pieces, but I will give them credit for only using two types of screws (clearly distinguishable) and for providing clear directions written in correct english. My second complaint is the lack of a provided rain/weather cover. Even though the metal structure is painted, Solo Stove says the Surround should not be left in the elements for prolonged periods and ought to be covered when not in use. So do they provide said cover? No! It’s sold separately for—wait for it—$100!!! I’m sorry, but that’s absurd. Thankfully, you can find a decent cover on Amazon for $35 or less, but still, c’mon guys... I knocked off a star for the weather cover nonsense, but it’s otherwise a great product so far.

This is a must-have, especially as a safety barrier for scalding hot steel. Otherwise, it's also nice to put things on, to put feet up, and doesn't pool water.

Love it! Finishes off out set up perfectly.

My wife was against buying it. We used it once and she loves it. She uses it even when I'm not home.

I have to say I wanted to surprise my husband by having this surround up and running before he arrived home Tahhhh dahhhh easy ! Even though he felt he needed to check it 😂 Really sturdy exspensive but well worth it ❤️
