Very very good game for hours of blasting fun
Very good.explode thousands of alien insect enemies and robots with 4 classes and around 800 different guns and vehicles set across 89 levels with 5 difficulties.loads and loads of hours of fun and well worth the price .can also be played multiplayer either split screen or online to help with the inferno difficulty as it’s mega hard without help unless you have already boosted your character way up.great game get it then edf 5 after when they eventually release it sometime in October on disc...damn you pqube I was supposed to be playing it this weekend!!!!😂

Underrated gem!!
Personally I don't know how anyone could hate this game, what's not to like?! Giant alien insects, giant robots, giant explosions, giant guns! This game is so ridiculous and fun, I'm really surprised it doesn't get as much hype as a lot of the heavy mainstream games!Graphics aren't great but that doesn't matter! The game looks "good" but the gameplay and everything else is just never ending fun! The missions get repetitive due to you killing the same stuff in every mission pretty much, but they do throw in boss fights! The giant mech suits are a new feature and they are something special!I've been a massive fan of all the edf games (2017, insect Armageddon, 2025) and if you don't own a ps4, these games are available of Xbox 360 and PS3 and are gems!Overall this game is hours of fun to enjoy! And the fact that it's SPLIT SCREEN COUCH CO OP is fantastic news and game developers seem to forget that we can socialise in person wth friends while playing games at the moment! Worth every penny and defiantly one of the most underrated franchises of all time!!

Deeply satisfying action shooter at a bargain price.
An updated version of EDF 2025 (PS3 - also a great game) with plenty of new nasties!Giant Bugs, Dinosaurs and Robots get some harsh treatment from an elite fighting force with a very broad arsenal.A choice of characters to fight as, with a range of abilities from flying and handling multiple weapons to driving assault craft. You can play in one or two player mode and are always accompanied by a support team that can be commanded to follow you (often not as good option for them) - they are usually very helpful but occasionally get in the way of your missiles (really not good) or lead the monsters towards you.Although much of the enjoyment is in splattering the bugs with increasingly fantastic weapons, this is also quite a tactical game - you get better rewards for taking risks such as lowering your armour rating and selecting a harder level but this can be very brutal. There is something very satisfying about this game and it is an absolute bargain for the price.

What an exciting fun game!
This game got my adrenalin pumping! Imagine you are surrounded by hundreds and thousands of Alien drones and toe curling pest like giant ants and spiders and you have to break free…….imagine you are faced with giant Alien robot trying to smother you will bombs and bullets….. that was the kind of hell I went through and back after I completed a level on this game. I am glad that I have played this hidden gem. It feels more like an arcade game but it’s got some element of RPG in it whereby you can earn extra armour and better weapons as you progress through the levels at different difficulty settings. I am a prolific gamer with 25years of gaming experience and just when I started to think no game will surprise me anymore or give me that adrenaline pumping feeling, this game tells me otherwise. What an exciting fun game.

Chaos
The games is extremely enjoyable to just mess around on, be it in the sandbox esque levels in conjunction with the 800+ weapons you can unlock, there's 5 difficulty levels with just under 100 levels, requiring you to beat each on each difficulty with each character to completely beat the game. The game truly shines on its multiplayer, and it's less then consistent frame rate, which is justifiable due to the sheer amount of chaos that the games enables you to create.T

So much fun especially in co-op
I played this for ages with brother in co-op (before buying my own copy) I wanted it with Japanese audio but the price was still full (70e), It's still fun in english too though the script is hilarious and badly translated in places like they didn't bother to change the word to make it fit.But as this is one big comedy only adds to the humour especially that professor acting. It's so much fun especially in co-op and I'm guessing online too.Only thing I have found is they give you all these weapons but I find you only use a handful as the rest are not so useful.

A very standard 3rd person shooter the game isent bad just very avrage the abilty to blow up buildings in 2 shots is amuseing and shooting down alien ants and spiders is a fresh take however becomes borning after 4 to 5 missions the classes in the game are ok but not a enough to keep the game from getting reptative, Also the A.I are pritty terrible and 100% uselessWould however recoment this game for a gamer with children as its simplicity and non violant nature would appeal

Defending the Earth is a lot of fun.
It pretty much delivers what it puts on offer, fun, frantic and a great price. Destructible urban levels, tons of alien bugs to shoot, as well as plenty of weapons across a few different classes with strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention the online and (rare these days) split-screen 2 player co-op it's been a really fun game even if the graphics are a bit dated.
