It's An Able Stable Table, Mabel
I'm guessing you're reading this because you're wondering if it's worth spending yet more money on your Deluxe 425 Project-o Stand Projection 17INX25IN Table Shelf (that I've also reviewed). My answer is an unequivocal "YES!"Aside from providing more shelf space, this simple "clip around the legs" addition not only adds even more bracing to an already strong structure, but also improves stability by lowering the centre of gravity. The more weight placed on the bottom shelf, the more its fold-out "leg grabbers" grip the "space frame" and the more "planted" the whole structure feels.True champagne engineering at a beer price. So why have I deducted a star? ...Two reasons, one ergonomic, the other aesthetic:1. Unlike the Deluxe 425 Project-o Stand Projection 17INX25IN Table Shelf , this additional shelf has no carry handle and2. I'm surprised the laminated surface of this shelf isn't black to match that of the stand. The second shortcoming's truly trivial, the first less so.As I've detailed in my review of the actual Deluxe 425 Project-o Stand Projection 17INX25IN Table Shelf , my solution for the first (that also provides truly elegant ease of transport and accommodation) is to house the whole "kit" in an A1-sized portfolio carrier from Dick Blick Art Materials, their "Elegance HD Portfolio - BLK 25X37".At just under a hundred bucks, (...yeah, I know, ...even MORE money...) the end result is an amazingly compact, versatile and light "one grab" flat-pack solution for heavyweight jobs on ANY terrain, year in, year out.Not really cheap, but REALLY excellent value for money.

Overall, an excellent addition
Does exactly what it should do by providing much needed space for my presentation style. I work in front of classrooms and lecture halls, and I often employ the use of a Wacom Bamboo tablet. This shelf gives me a place for extra paperwork, and I can even fit an extra capacity bike bottle with room to spare. As others have noted, it also adds stability to the unit. I am also inclined to agree with other reviewers that the mounting hardware for the hooks is highly suspect (read cheap) and will probably have to be reworked sooner rather than later.

Poor Quality Control
The very first time I went to use the shelf with the Project-O-Stand one of the hooks and screw assembly fell completely off the shelf. Thankfully, I was able to put it back together myself. I wasn't real impressed with the quality control of the materials.

Poor design, but it works well once this problem ...
The tabs that hold the brackets are just pressed on and fall off. It is necessary to buy bolts to replace them. Poor design, but it works well once this problem is fixed.

Sturdy - it's Da-Lite, after all
Da-Lite has been around forever, producing quality projection accessories. Heck, I have a 40-year-old screen that is still useable - Da-Lite, of course. This accessory shelf easily accomodates my 17-in MacBook Pro under the projector platform of the projector shelf. Simple, bullet-proof design.

Good product
This shelf is great, I use it to set my projector on as the stand shelf is to high and can not be adjusted lower. Would buy again!

Excellent accessory shelf
Sturdy shelf and, as it is larger than the projector stand shelf, can hold larger items. A welcome addition to the projector stand itself.
