Quit working within 21 days.
As a lover of the original Jot Pro, I bought this for my fiance, hoping that the third generation would fix some of the problems I saw with the second generation. While I really wanted to like this, I like the third generation even less. The magnetic cap comes off too easily, and the clever little recess on the back gunks up too easily, leaving no good place for the cap. It is still too light and feels cheap, unlike the first generation which felt substantial like a high end pen. Worst of all yesterday, after only 21 days, it quit working completely. Not sure how it could fail, but fail it has. I had to let my fiance borrow my first generation Jot Pro, which is still going strong, years after I first bought it. I'm not happy with this purchase.

SCRATCHES TABLETS IF NOT PAYING ATTENTION
This product is terrible. It worked great for a month and then the plastic disc on the bottom lost the coating between it and the metal ball. It SCRATCHED my iPad screen. Thank goodness I had a tempered glass protector, otherwise there’d be a massive scratch in my iPad. I’m still going to have to replace the case because it’s an eyesore. PLUS I went to go order more plastic discs and they don’t even sell them on amazon. What an absolute waste of a product. Have to buy an all new stylus because you can’t buy the replacement discs unless you want to pay for shipping from the manufacturer’s website.

Not very durable.
I ordered this stylus woth high hopes, as the reviews were mostly good and the price point was rather steep for a capacitive stylus. It arrived and worked fine.....for a month. I returned it and was issued a replacement, and the second one worked for even less time than the first. The first Pro 3 started missing, almost as though it had an intermittent short in it, and the replacememt fell apart. I would not recommend this stylus, but i gave it 2 stars because the form is very nice. Textured grip, magnetic cap( although the magnet will pick up small particles that make it difficult to attach the cap to the back of the stylus, unless you clean it often), and the pocket clip being a solid piece gives the Pro 3 a minimalistic beauty(again, it looks nice but does not work well at holding the stylus in your pocket if you are at all active. I lost mine almost any time i had to job to get the door or catch the bus). Admit, you make beautiful products, i just wish they were more durable.

WARNING: Tips are very fragile!
I really wanted to like this stylus. It has great reviews, both here and online. I also have the Adonit Snap 2 active capacitive stylus, which I absolutely love. But I wanted a couple of passive options which didn't require daily charging to keep in my purse and backpack. When I received the Adonit Jot Pro 3, I was immediately impressed by the build quality. However, after a few days of use, the tip started skipping. And within a few more days, it had stopped working altogether! It is no longer recognized by any of my devices. I also ordered the Adonit Droid, which is a smaller version of this, with a smaller disc. Exactly the same experience. Worked well for a few days, then started skipping, then stopped working altogether. When I encountered this issue, I searched online, and there are reports going back to 2012 about this issue, with many "work-arounds" suggested, such as using tinfoil or conductive compound on the tip to improve performance. So it seems to be a widespread issue that not everyone encounters, but many people have. There are many, many other options for disc-tip styluses here on Amazon, and I found alternatives which use a flexible rubber connection, rather than the all-metal ball and socket connection which Adonit seems to have pioneered. The Mixoo 2-in-1 stylus has great reviews, not to mention a lower cost, with additional tips included. Vastly better option! Not only does it seem to be more durable, it's also a pleasure to use! The disc returns to its default position when removed from the screen, which also eliminates the frustrating experience of having to constantly re-position the disc when writing.I will be returning both of these Adonit disc styluses, which saddens me. Seems their active styluses are a much better and more consistent value for the money than their passive options.

Simple, accurate and good value. Lid needs improving.
Easy to use and pretty accurate. The clear, fixed disc allows you to see where you are placing the pen and I have used it to annotate flying charts on my ipad. So far the disc has stayed attached despite some rough handling. My only gripe is that the lid is magnetic and not very secure - it fell off and was lost within a couple of weeks. It needs to be a screw fix or push and click to make it more secure. Otherwise, pleased with the purchase.

Brocken Adonit Pro 3
Unfortunately half of the disk fell off leaving it both sticky and unusable, until then it had been superb. I brought this as I was tired of having to buy spare packs of disks for my adononit jot pro. It would be ideal if the company could contact me to sort this out, as I do not consider I have had fair use. That's for reading this.

Faulty
I was initially really pleased that an Adonit jot had been produced with a permanently fixed disc as I often lose discs and have to keep buying replacements. Unfortunately this one stopped working at all after a couple of days. I will be sending it back.

Good companion to iPad mini
Bought as a present for an amateur artist. He says it’s ideal for his needs & more accurate for drawing fine lines than using a finger or a soft stylus on the touch screen.

This is a great pen.
Bang on product. Very responsive, very, very slight lag but that's expected. Using with an ASUS S3 10 and cheap £2 stylus glove bought here on Amazon. Looks and feels quality.
