OtterBox Achiever Series Case for Apple iPhone 5/5S/SE (2016/1st Gen) - Black

After hearing people rave about Otterbox cases I had high expectations for this case, however, my experience has been a huge disappointment as far as the protection of my OnePlus 3T is concerned.Like most rugged protection cases, this is two part clip together arrangement consisting of a rubber inner boot and a hard plastic outer shell both of which seem fairly high quality in terms of materials and durability; however, in my opinion, both are poorly designed/conceived.The rubber boot isn't as tight fitting as it might be, however, the plastic shell is the principle villain of the piece as the design doesn't wrap around the boot sufficiently to support it in the top corners. This allows the boot to roll off of the top corners of the phone when it's in your pocket meaning that the corner of the phone is then entirely unprotected (the shell does wrap around the side lower down the phone meaning that the bottom corners of the case lock onto the phone like vice, showing how much better this could have been, regardless of the looseness of the boot).This might not be the end of the world in itself, however, the shell has a second flaw in that the finish of the shell is incredibly slippery, to the extent that you're much more likely to drop the phone with the case fitted than without it. Combined with the loose fit this isn't a good combination.I relegated this case to the back of a drawer and went back to my Tudia Merge, a better designed case as far as the OnePlus 3T is concerned and at a cheaper price.

I'm fairly rough when i do manage to drop my phone and this seems to have saved it from some really hard impacts. Easy to get on and off (without ever falling off when I've dropped it) seems very durable. I managed to scratch my camera whilst this case was on but that would be very hard to do. Good access to the buttons and fingerprint scanner. The only downside is how chunky my phone is with it on but definitely worth it overall.

This is a really good case. Having previously purchased a cheaper case for a 3rd of the price I regretted not spending a bit more as the protective screen was a flimsy plastic that scratched. I bought the achiever with a tempered glass screen protector and it is well worth spending the extra. The only thing I would say is that I was expecting the same colour as the picture but the actual colour is more of a lilac/grey.

We have had this case for years. It's had it's fair share of drops and throws as we have two small kids.It has kept the phone in perfect condition throughout it's life the case itself still looks great.Would recommend.

I usually love having an otterbox cover on my phone, this one just didn’t stand the test of time and cracked. My phone also cracked in it. This was not after a particularly bad fall either - I would have expected the otterbox is a to have protected it.

Within days of replacing my old cover, the Otter box paid for itself when I dropped my phone onto a stone floor and the phone survived without a mark, Get one they really work

This is The first Otterbox case I bought for my phone after the Speigen one didn't survive.. This case is super durable, not stupidly bulky and still maintains all functions of the phone

I bought this for my father in law and he absolutely loved it! Great durability while not being too chunky and great value for money
