various reviews claim this is not real silk, how can customers be sure it's 100% real silk? is there any certification or a test that can be done?

You can’t … unless you’re a silk expert or want to send it to a lab I had this before I returned it and it didn’t feel like real silk at all

Does it keep your eye closed. I have Bell’s palsy and need one that will keep eye closed.

Is there any metal in this? i'm looking for a mask for when i have an mri done, if i don't see the machine i don't freak out so much.

I cannot be 100% sure but like 99% sure that there is NO metal in this mask.

Is the strap adjustable on the black or black 2?

Yes, it is adjustable. The mask is very comfortable- my favorite so far!

Soft, light, comfortable and blocks out all light.

I bought one of these for myself a month or so ago, and I just love it. I most recently bought one as a surprise for my neighbor who said that the new street light shines into her bedroom window and makes sleeping more difficult. This mask is so soft and really keeps out the early morning sunlight.

Can’t live without it !

Basic sleep mask

Not much to say, it's a basic sleep mask. Lovely smooth fabric, nice color, too. Snug but not tight fit. An eye covering really helps me sleep. 3 star rating because it's a bit on the pricey side (maybe because of tariffs? Or Bezos' expensive wedding? ).

Silk covers elastic and great quality

So many masks do not have the silk on the elastic band, this one does! So much better for your hair to have the elastic wrapped in silk. Great silk quality and blocks the light great. Washes well and is nice on the skin.
