Excelente ventilador, una pesadilla cambiar las bombillas
Es un ventilador excelente, silencioso y bonito. La pesadilla comienza cuando hay que limpiar el domo de cristal de la lámpara o cuando hay que cambiar la bombilla.

Easy to install, very quiet operation.
Easy to install, quiet operation. Had the fan installed and running in half an hour. Just be sure to loosen the canopy screws in the mounting bracket before you hang the fan, or you'll need a really short screwdriver.5-2022- fan recently died, was changing a bulb and it popped and sparked from the light socket and that was that. 😢7-2022 Fan is not dead, Minka-Aire wall switch was bad

Deserves Less Than One Star
I purchased this and two other Minka Aire ceiling fans in July 2010 (regrettably, before the above reviews were posted). I had them installed in my new home in September 2010, and the fans and the installation cost me thousands of dollars. A couple of weeks ago, the light bulbs on this particular model burned out rather badly, and the fan stopped working. I called an electrician who told me the wall control was defective, and I contacted Minka Aire on March 24, 2011 online and via email, and again a few days later, with no reply whatsoever. I ended up purchasing a replacement part from my local Lamps Plus, along with new bulbs and the expense of a return visit from the electrician, which has cost me another few hundreds of dollars! If a company cannot stand behind their product, and worse yet, has zero regard for their customers, I have to advise all of you out there to shop with a more deserving company. I will never buy another Minka product!

Super quiet - great fan and lighting system - worth every penny!
Had this light and fan in our condo and liked it so much we bought two for our new home. Super quiet, efficient, not hard to install. Complete with multiple settings, dimmer, and switch.

Junk!
If you want a very heavy useless paperweight then this is the fan for you, however if you want a long lasting fan look elsewhere. When the fan was working it was very nice. I bought this particular fan because light was brighter then many other fans. After 4 months of usage the halogen bulbs burned out. It was impossible to change the bulbs due to a faulty designed. The glass globe is impossible to remove to change the bulbs. The manufacture without inspecting the fan said that the globe was over tightened. It wasn’t, it was professionally installed. The manufacture will not stand behind their product. This is not an inexpensive fan. Save your time and money and look for another fan and manufacture that stands behind their products.

The white is kind of cheap looking with a chrome band around the housing
It arrived with a wall mount remote which I did not want and had hoped for a regular remote. Doesn't look much like the fan we had in Nashville but same model. The fan back home was really classy. The dome for this fixture doesn't meet the housing and there is a gap. Horrible fan and I am soooooo disappointed.

Steer clear - safety hazard!
We installed this fan about two months ago. It was fine but occasionally we would smell a fishy odor in the room. It took us a while to figure it out but the smell was caused by the light bulbs burning a flat, white metal/composite(?) plate that was above the light bulbs. There is some foil-backed insulation between the bulbs and the plate but it was charred as well. The smell only occurred when the light was also in use. I talked with Minka but their response was not unacceptable. The person said that although the history of this fixture did show such problems, it was not a safety hazard and had not caused fires(!). I offered to send a photo of the browned plate but he said it wouldn't make a difference in their response. They apparently think that it is perfectly OK and pleasant to smell a fishy odor when the fixture is in use and, much worse, they are willing to take a chance with the safety of their customers. So, we will have to spend money for the electrician to come remove it so we can return it to the store and then pay again to have a new fan installed. Thanks Minka.
