The card works fine but I know it only work for 5 years. There is a battery that is why it will only last five years.

Difficult to give it 5 stars without proof that it actually does the job. If it indeed does what it says on the tin and protects ALL cards in your wallet or card holder rather than just one it is probably worth the extra cost. It is slightly stiffer than a normal card but easily fits inside next to other cards without the need for a metal foil coated shield to put it inside as on cheaper alternatives.

The description for this is a bit misleading.
This device works by transmitting an amplified signal when the antenna is activated. The problem is they don't make it clear that this is done via a built in single use battery, witch is rated to last 5 years (I've opened this up, there IS a battery inside). The description clearly states "Battery-Free Operation" despite this battery with when it dies you have zero protection. The manufacturers clam that the card is powered by induction is false, simple example the energy transfer from NCF induction is very poor c 30%, that would even be enough to run the LED!My issue is that the estimated working life of 5 years is based on what.... so it may only work for 2 years if it gets activated more often then they assumed. I've tested this out using my phone and it does indeed seem to proven reading of the data within about 5 MM. note the LED is a useless feature, when the card is inside your wallet you can't see it lol.
