Favorite boot knife!
I've now bought 4 (I think) of these knives. Once, because I thought I had lost mine, only to find the original later. I've bought one for my wife and one as a gift to a friend that really liked mine.It is very lightweight, which makes it forgettable to carry. For a small knife, its grip is generous. This is important to me, since I have larger than average-sized hands. I generally have to tie a knot an inch or more off the end of my cord-wrapped knives (Izula, BK14, and the like), in order to feel like I've got a solid grip on the handle. Not the case with the M14K! The functionality of the double edge is also very nice. A plain edge on one side and a partially serrated edge on the other, is very handy. Of course, if you want to think "combat", the dagger aspect is a solid asset.I bought my first one, probably about three years ago. Other than the brief time that I thought it was lost, it has been with me pretty much the whole time. It's a back-up to my EDC folder, but sometimes you just want the more solid feel of a fixed blade when doing some chores. Regardless, after these past few years the knife is still solid as a rock. The blade isn't nearly as pretty as when it arrived, but no better proof of a good knife, than one that looks well used. I just really like the overall utility of this boot knife. If a boot knife is your thing, I would recommend the M14K easily and happily.

Great Little Backup
This is a well-made, well--designed tactical blade with a decent Kydex sheath. Worn on the support side, allows for a swift and strong ice-pick deployment for aiding in pistol retention for those LEOs permitted to wear this fixed blade tool. The serrated edge cuts nicely through seat belt material for aiding extraction of subjects in emergency situations. This serrated edge also cuts through heavy fabric very well. The steel is well-tempered, at least for my blade, with a strong spear-point design. If your organization (law enforcement or military) permits this blade to be carried as a duty tool, and your state permits civilians to carry this tool legally, it is a durable, fast and easily deployed backup tool for tactical and emergency situations.

Goldilocks; & the 3 was jus right!
This was my 3rd attempt at buying a "secondary weapon" from Amazon. The first was crap, not even the knife in the pic (to Amazon's credit got a full refund) the second was AWESOME but far too heavy and robust to be a concealed knife.I already owned an SOG Seal Pup so when i came across the dagger. In a word? Perfection!!! The blade is a razor, the handle is perfection (if you've never held an SOG, you're missing out) and while the sheath is nothing to write home about, it was better than I feared after reading a few reviews.i 100% recommend this knife.

Good knife Bad Sheath
This knife is perfect! The conceal carry law in my state is 3.5" so this knife makes a perfect self defense carry option. The edge is extremely sharp and very durable!👍 It really feels perfect in hand with a long texturized rubber grip is great for large hands or hands that are otherwise less dextrous wearing gloves. This is a great buying option except for one thing which is why I didn't give it a perfect score. The sheath.... This knife is ideally meant to be unsheathed with the grip facing down like when it's worn around your neck; everywhere else the blade is cumbersome to get out and even dangerous! I tried quickly pulling the knife out doing self defense drills and multiple times the knife was locked in so tight, it pulled the sheath right off my belt!!*NOTE* The top of the sheath has cut out's that if the knife is not drawn out directly up and if your hand is anywhere near the top third of the sheath, you're going to cut yourself freaking deep!! Deeeeeep. This sheath is not designed for self defense where every second can mean life or death.. SOG makes great knives, but the sheaths are TERRIBLE!! Cheap and poorly designed that might do serious damage either self inflicted or by not being able to effectively get your blade out in time. I hope SOG can make improvements on this, like quick release options or horizontally held sheaths for better concealment and more of an ideal blade draw.

Grab this knife, you'll love it, I do
I read many reviews about this knife and the Big Brother to this everyone complained about the sheath.Do buy the bigger version of this same knife, after I got this one I was very pleased with this SOG knife and Sheath. Only difference is an inch in blade size, but this one is the perfect size to me. But if you are Tarzan you might need the larger blade when wrestling with Alligators and Crazy hungry Lions!

Great Boot Knife!!
Great knife. I fell in love with SOG when I bought a Flash II. I now have around eight SOG knieves give or take. This knive does not disapoint. Feels very secure in my hands. The Grip is rubber and feels much better then my Seap Pup. Great back up knife also and would be ideal for an concealed knife to have on you. Sheath is okay, looks a little flimsy but no complaints. Has a clip on right side for boot carry or you could carry it on your belt. Holes in sheath are available to rig something up so it will fit on your MOLLE gear for all you other soldiers. Just a heads it's bigger then you think it is.

Great self defense knife only!
The knife is 100% great for a self defense knife. It has superb piercing capabilities for which it was intended for. Any dummy thinking that dagger like knives are for chopping wood look elsewhere. The knife doesn't feel very well made and solid as to use it for a multitasker. It is made in Taiwan. I feel a perfect price for this knife would be at the $35 to $39 dollar range tops.

Good quality
This is a great kite and ladies if you don’t think you can use one let me tell you I’m small and sometimes wear a boys size boot. I place the knife at the front of my boot for comfort and ease of reach on horse back. The knife needed sharing but is usual with mail order.
