I bought this jacket back in July as a gift for my husband after hours of research and having read countless reviews. He'd just sat his CBT and got his first bike. It arrived quickly and I was seriously impressed with the quality considering the price, definitely excellent value for money. As for the fit, I ordered a medium as that's what size he normally is and it fitted him perfectly, he's 6ft with a long back so the style worked better for him than the short ones. The zips and fastening are of good quality and the pockets are all of a good size to be functional. The vents are a brilliant addition for riding on hot days and the liner seems thick enough to provide the warmth required to be cosy during the colder months. On the few occasions my husband wore it in the rain he remained dry and comfortable too so a good jacket for most climates because it's easily adaptable to suit the requirements.Now it's taken me 3 months to write this review because unfortunately it was put to the test in a way I hoped it never would be. At the beginning of September whilst on his way to work - riding in decent weather whilst adhering to the speed limit and following the rules of the road - he T-Boned a car that pulled right out in front of him on a roundabout. Such was the force of the impact his Yamaha YZF R125 was as good as literally broken in half and he left a person shaped imprint on the side of the car before hitting the road. The fuel tank burst and saturated his clothing but the paramedics could not cut through this jacket. They couldn't believe how substantial it was and ended up having to just remove it before cutting everything else off. We were told under no uncertain terms by the police and paramedics that day that this jacket is the sole reason the impact didn't leave him completely paralysed or worse. Miraculously he escaped with a few cuts and some nasty bruising to his legs and while he'll never be luckier the jacket doesn't have a mark on it and the armour it came with remains completely intact.All too often novice riders purchase a helmet and give little thought to protecting the rest of their body and that is terrifying. I could be sitting here facing a very different outcome to such an horrendous accident if it wasn't for this jacket. The price of a jacket saved the cost of my husband's life.

Only 4 stars for lightweight - just because I did not want a lightweight jacket, this was brought for winter commuting and is reassuringly heavy, if you want a light jacket this may be too warm for you.Very heavy weight and thick outer material which I am delighted with. Worn already in heavy rain and remained completely dry for the full hour and very warm throughout.Sleeves are long the jacket is adjustable on arms, waist and back with a massive pocket around the lower back which is not really mentioned in the details.Loads of pockets overall, very robust zip and wide baffle overlaying it. One other reviewer said the internal trouser zip did not fit their trousers.....? Of course not, with matching trousers it will be absolutely fine, no company makes a universal zip; that was not a valid critical point at all.The price of this jacket is quite incredible, highly recommended. The seller (Black Tab) were absolutely superb to deal with and I will buy with them again.

Australian Bikers Gear, made in Pakistan. Totally misleading name, poor quality, much of the stitching came out after about six months. Would not trust this jacket to hold together sliding down the tarmac.

I wore this jacket today for over an hour in driving rain and not a drop got in.The material is good and strong and the elbow and shoulder pads are good quality.The back armoured pad however is soft and flimsy and only good for insulation if anything.I replaced it with the back pad from my previous "middle aisle" jacket that allowed the wet in through the metal push tabs. This jacket has velcro straps so no water gets in. I would have given it 5 stars only for the back armour and also a lack of reflective strips Th

First off, I followed the sizing chart and added an extra size on for good measure. This turned out to be a mistake as it buried me. A new, correct size, based on the sizing chart, was sent straight away. On that basis, I can't fault the service, or the size chart.I bought it as my first bike jacket prior to doing my CBT.I like the touring style, I like the pockets*, I like the fit.*See belowI haven't tried it in the rain so I can't comment on it's waterproofingIt is definitely too hot for summer days, ( evenings and morings are fine) even with the lining out and the vents open. That said, it is not advertised or intended as a summer jacket.My only complaint is that after less than half a dozen wears, the stitching has come undone all along the bottom of one of the pockets. It's not a big deal to sew it back up, but I expect it to be better quality, even if it is relatively cheap.As a first jacket, where you're at that stage where you don't want to spend loads in case you don't keep it up, it's decent value for money. I'll continue to use mine, but I've since invested in a leather and a summer jacket.

I have had several items from Australian Bikers Gear and they have all been great quality. I got this jacket through Amazon Warehouse for £22 and I am delighted.The jacket itself is a size bigger than I would normally buy but fits over my suit jacket for riding my bike to work. I would say that the sizing is spot on so whatever size chest you normally buy would fit well over normal clothes and buy a size bigger for wearing over a suit jacket.The jacket itself is fantastic, CE protectors in the right places and a back protector and various other padded parts located near other likely contact areas in a spill.The adjustment of the jacket is superb with sleeve straps and the integrated waist belt which is much better than having to unbuckle a conventional waist belt every time you open the jacket.All in all it seems perfect for commuting and general use, wont flap around at higher speed and isn't too bike specific so you don't need to worry about changing when you arrive at your destination.

La chaqueta la compré porque otra que tenía, también comprada en Amazon, se rompieron las costuras muy pronto y el velcro dejo de pegar al poquito tiempo de uso.En el caso de esta chaqueta, tengo que decir que tiene unos acabados mas que decentes. Ya conocía la marca porque compré unos guantes de piel que a día de hoy sigo usando y estan como el primer día.Las tallas son correctas, los corchetes, los velcros y las cremalleras, se ven duraderas. Exteriormente repele bastante bien el agua y es muy elegante toda en negro.Por poner un pero...sería el forro interno, con temperaturas muy bajas no abriga lo suficiente. Suerte que tenemos un clima en Madrid bastante cálido en el presente invierno, sino a lo mejor hubiese valorado comprar otra de mayor calidad.En cualquier caso, la recomiendo 100%. Estoy encantado con ella.

Ich habe bereits von dieser Marke eine Lederjacke und eine Motorradjeans und da mich beide in den Punkten, Qualität, Tragbarkeit, Wohlfühlgefühl und Preis positiv mehr als überrascht haben, so habe ich mich ebenfalls für diese Jacke entschlossen.Normal trage ich Größe 50 (L) bei 178cm und ca. 80kg und habe auf Grund der Tabelle XL gewählt. Die Protektoren (Schultern, Ellbogen und Rücken - wobei Rücken eher mentale Sicherheit verspricht) sind exakt wo sie hingehören. Die Jacke fühlt sich, vor allem für diesen Preis, sehr wertig an, leicht und verfügt über genügend Außentaschen, wie zwei Innentaschen. Lüftungsschlitze vorne und hinten.Aufgrund der vielen Verstellmöglichkeiten passt die Jacke wunderbar mit dem herausnehmbaren Innenfutter, lässt sich jedoch bei einem benötigten Pullover noch entsprechend erweitern.Ein Verbindungsreißverschluss ist ebenfalls vorhanden - habe auch noch die passende Hose dafür die mich genau so begeistert (normal W34/32 in W36/32 als Überhose für Jeans usw...)Somit eine klare Kaufempfehlung - sehr gute Qualität, vor allem für diesen tollen Preis und eine sehr angenehmer Tragekomfort.

La prenda abriga bastante y trae protecciones tanto en espalda como en hombros, 4 bolsillo con velcro, 2 con cremallera para transpiración y unas cintas de ajuste tanto en brazos como en cintura. Sin embargo el acabado de cosidos en la mía ha resultado bastante regular, pues al poco de usarla se me ha empezado a descoser la zona de bolsillos bajos.Saludos.

Según la descripción, los materiales son impermeables, sin embargo, si tienes la mala suerte de que te caiga una buena tromba de agua, ten por seguro que terminará calando.He probado otras chaquetas y esto no pasa con la misma facilidad, por lo que tuve que solicitar la devolución e invertir algo más de dinero en otra chaqueta de más calidad.
