These magnets hold well and do not get hot. The mounting options are decent and match up in the 4 that I bought. The wires are a little awkward but workable.The field on these magnets is made for holding up close and wide things like a door. Do not expect the field to extend beyond the face of the magnet.

Work very well. I see many reviews saying there's issues with strength and alignment. These magnets work with very short range, (tightly coiled) magnetic fields, so as soon as the plate gets any distance from the base (fractions of an inch) magnetic pull drops a ton. The plate needs to be kept clean. The spring loaded "popper" plastic pin needs to be able to retract fully into the plate (use the included allen key). And the plate should be mounted according to the directions, which have a single large bolt in the center with two rubber washers spacing the plate away from the doorframe. THIS IS SO THE PLATE CAN SELF-ALIGN to the magnet. If you crank the plate down tight, then any fraction of a degree of misalignment means it will lose significant magnetic force.

I had to modify the mounting hardware, so return is out of the question.These electro magnets have very little attraction to the steel block. I mounted them on the back of my van sliding drawers. The magnet does not provide any better closure or locking than the spring close sliders have already.I test them with a 12 car battery charged to 12.65 volts. You hear them click. I have little faith that they will work as expected.....So I finally have them fully and installed. The tolerance is quite small That is, the magnets and plates have to be aligned very well and closer than you'd expect. I managed to get one perfect by accident. Otherwise I would have given up.The other two were shimmed with pieces of the box and a tongue depressor. It's that close.Otherwise they work quite well. A good solid hold on the drawers now.

The media could not be loaded. Works well. I assembled with a button switch for a demo. Just one of my units came with the housing chipped.FYI Screws are metric allen key 3 mmThere is a residual clamp depending on the surface area. A piece may not just instantly fall.

Happy customer. So far, no issues whatsoever and have used it outdoors for many months now.

Works well. Only issue (not really an issue) is that it takes precise adjustment of the steel plate for it to stick. But once adjusted, it's great.

I am using these to hold 55lbs each and they barely hold, if the metal bar is not EXACTLY right, it will not hold.
