Zero Tolerance Combat Folder Framelock Model Number ZT0301.

I have been carrying this knife as my EDC when not at work & carrying my ZT0350tsst. At first it seemed a bit big as I was used to the 350. After about a month of EDC, I can't really tell the difference anymore, and doesn't seem as big as when I first started carrying it. Some of that is due to the deep carry titanium clip offered here on Amazon. I have them on my 301 and 350. I cannot recommend getting the deep carry clip enough. It's a must have, and well worth the money. I would also highly recommend using a paracord landyard to give the user a tag line to be able to yank it out from the pocket as the knife will ride deep with the above mentioned clip. Now the knife: The 301 is just freakn' awesome! This knife is superb at everything you take to task with it. It is razor sharp right out of the box, and holds an edge thru tons of hard, honest use. It is a large knife, but feels perfect in the hand. Not too big, easy to manipulate. The lock up is rock solid, and gives you a very confident feeling that it will not fail or close on you under hard use. It is very nicely balanced for a large folder, and opens smooth as silk. The grip is big enough to get a good hold on it, and the texture allows for great traction. Once in your hand, it's not going anywhere unless you let go. The quality materials used are very evident right away from the moment you take it out of the box. The very first time you snap it open and get a good grip on it, you will not ever think about the money you just dropped on a folding knife 😎. This is a knife built to pass down for generations. Not one part was skimped on in building this knife. If you want top quality gear, or are on the fence about it, or can only afford one knife then I would recommend to take the plunge & don't look back! I have not ever met anyone that regrets buying one of these knives. This is an investment as you will have this knife for the rest of your life. Made In America 👍

This is a great knife and a great EDC. I've been lusting after one of these for a couple years, but instead have acquired a couple alternatives (Benchmade & Kabar). I noticed this knife was available from Warehouse Deals for an impressive price break, and I snapped it up. I should mention the Warehouse Deal was noted as "Packaging is damaged", and I'd had good luck with these deals in the past. This was no exception, the knife was in pristine condition, and the box even looked new, so I was surprised. On to the knife itself:The Good:-Very solid knife-Great build quality-Very sharp factory edge-Opens quickly and easily-The knurling and gimping of the handle is a perfect fit in hand.-Very heavy EDC, and a heavy knife in general. Also a very large knife, good for people like me, with larger handsThe Bad:-Very heavy EDC-There is a slight noise (sounds like something is loose and shaking) I can hear when shaking the knife in the open position, no idea what it is, but nothing appears loose, nor does anything seem to be wrong with the locking or opening mechanism.-Due to the recurved shape of the blade, can't be sharpened on a traditional whetstoneVery happy with my purchase, very happy with the knife, it's been great to me so far and I'm yet to find something it won't effortlessly slice through

Best knife I've owned. Blade's sharp, strong and good balance. Scale has some improvement but ZT did not inform or change image.

This is the best combat folder I've ever seen. Kershaw's ZT0301(Ranger Green Folder) is without peer in my experience. They proudly, justifiably, say that this is over engineered. I guess that's one point of view. I see it differently. I see a weapon (no Virginia, it's not for cutting toenails) that one can truly depend on with one's life... I see a work of functional art that has no equal. Design, manufacture, intent of purpose being realized- all yield something that goes beyond knowledge- it's truly visceral. At a gut level, this knife can inspire both confidence, and terror, depending upon which side you're on...I've read some folks complain about it's size, and it's weight. Fortunately for them, there's always the ZT350 offerings, which in their own right, are also superb, substantial, and lethal. Kershaw doesn't make junk, nor do they rest their laurels upon just one product line. All of them are geared towards making your survival a better prospect. Towards that end, they succeed in war and peace. Whatever you need in a sharp blade, Kershaw/Zero Tolerance can provide...This is a "legacy" piece- one that you hand down to your children, and they, to theirs. I have knives that cost lots more. They're "pretty," as in expensive, and likely never will be used for defense of self, or others. Like a hanger or vault queen, they'll get dusted off, oiled, admired, and put back into storage. Not this baby, no way, no how... This knife was primarily designed for one thing, and it will do it supremely well... It's been said that it's a "beast," a "tank." Well, yeah... You want to defend your life, or someone else's, with a plastic spork?It's been called "The Leroy Jethro Gibbs Knife" of NCIS fame... Damn straight. That's how I first saw it, on TV. It was love at first sight. No other knife I've ever bought, handled, or seen, has had such an impact on me. Forget, if you can, the fact that it has been showcased on my favorite TV series. Read the reviews of others, who probably haven't watched NCIS. It's a work of art that doesn't gather dust. Show it to others, and you can SEE it's affect upon them. Eyes widen, guts are sucked in, and "magic" is in the air... When you, carefully/watchfully tender it to them for their inspection, it's almost with reverence and awe, that they look at it... Not even a Bowie or otherwise recognizable blade evinces such a response... In their hands, it's as if Excalibur had been presented them by The Lady of the Lake...I don't know of any other new design that has so quickly stepped into the category of "legend." This is it, and I'm extraordinarily happy to have gotten it. It's my EDC, and it won't remain single for long... If one's good, two's great.Some things just feel "right," and those G10 scales are masterful. If things goes pear-shaped, you won't lose your grip when the knife gets wet. The 3D texture is positive in nature, and not going to strip skin from palms and fingers, if actions are violent or rapid. Some 1911's have the G10 style panels, ensuring quick, sure, and reliable presentation. So it is with the ZT301. This knife is for professionals- or those who only want the best, as in those who know, that life rarely, gives second chances.The locking mechanism is the best for any folder I've ever seen... Truly, it seems to become a full tang, even though you know that it isn't. It's a tougher knife than any other folder I've had, and also tougher than many fixed blade knives. Not going out on a limb here- it's my # 1 knife now. Regardless of cost or scarcity, this knife is mine, like my favorite handgun, rifle, or shotgun. It's mine, all mine...I can't over emphasize the quality of this knife. Talk to your local sporting goods store, gun shop, or cutlery store. Hound 'em until they get one for you to see, hold, and buy...Do I recommend the Zero Tolerance ZT0301 in Ranger Green Folder? You bet! Without hesitation, or reservation. It's the only one I'll measure all others by, from now on...

Ich will mich ganz kurz fassen, denn den ausführlichen Rezensionen meiner Vorgänger gibt es nichts hinzuzufügen.Ich hätte sogar auf die Rezension verzichtet, jedoch wollte ich hiermit darauf hinweisen, dass dieses edle Schneidwerk nichtmehr hergestellt wird. Alles was noch angeboten wird sind somit Restbestände.Mein Tipp: Zuschlagen bevor es zu spät ist. Ich selbst habe auch zwei Stück geordert, das sollte bis zum Ende meiner Tage reichen.Ausgezeichneter S30V Stahl welcher durch seine Schnittfestigkeit überzeugt und nicht oft nachgeschärft werden muss.Zum Nachschärfen nehme ich den Spyderco Sharpmaker. Damit lassen sich auch Recurve-Klingen sauber abschälen. Kurz noch ein Wort zu den Torx Schrauben. Besonders die beiden Schrauben am Halteclip sitzen bombenfest. Wollt ihr den Clip versetzen, nehmt unbedingt anständige Torx Schlüssel und keine Billigtools. Ihr dreht euch sonst ganz schnell die Schraubköpfe durch. Und dann habt ihr wirklich den Salat. Dann hilft euch nur noch ein Uhrmacher, welcher über die filigranen Werkzeuge verfügt um die Minischrauben zu entfernen. Größe für diese beiden Schrauben ist übrigens Torx T4.

Dieses Messer ist wirklich ein Superlativ in Material, Verarbeitung, Qualität und -daher- auch im Gewicht. Als EDC-Messer ist es mitüber 220 Gramm recht schwer. Halt ein Teil zum Vererben. Direkt aus der Schachtel habe ich noch kein schärferes Messer erlebt. Der Preis beim Importeur (365,-) hatte mich immer abgeschreckt, hier bei Amazon ist es jedoch deutlich günstiger zu haben, daher kann ich nur raten: kaufen!!!

die Qualität rechfertigt nicht den hohen Preis. Aber der Reihe nach. Es liegt ausgezeichnet in der Hand und die Verarbeitung genügt höchsten Standards. Das Messer zu öffnen ist mit dem "Assisted opener" - also einer Federunterstützten Öffnung - elegant und schnell. Wenn die Klinge einrastet, sitzt sie so fest und exakt, dass man das Gefühl haben kann, es wäre alles ein durchgehendes Stück Metall. Vorbildlich! Die geschwungene Klingenform bietet eine lange Schnittlinie auch hier - hervorragende Verarbeitung.Jetzt aber zu den Gründen, warum es "nur" vier Sterne gibt. Bei diesem Messer zahlt man auch den "Gibbs" Effekt. Ein Hauptdarsteller der TV Serie NCIS, Jethro Gibbs (wenn nicht DIE Hauptfigur der Serie, gespielt von Mark Harmon), trägt eben genau dieses Messer. Und das spiegelt sich immer wieder in Rezensionen. Zum Beispiel der Titel einer vorherigen Rezension: "Regel #9 - gehe nie ohne ein Messer irgendwohin" stammt direkt aus der Fernsehserie... Die Präsenz in einer berühmten TV Serie hat durchaus ihren Anteil am Preis. Aber das ist nur einer der Gründe für meine Bewertung. Grund Nr. 2 ist folgender: Das Messer wird für über 300.- Euro verkauft. Es wird damit geworben, dass man den Gürtelclip in vier verschiedenen Positionen befestigen kann. Nur... Ein passender Inbusschlüssel im Wert von 1,50 Euro - der wird nicht mitgeliefert. Und das ist - bei allem Respekt - armselig.Fazit: Die Qualität ist 1A. Aber dass man als Kunde dafür zahlen muss, dass das Messer in einer TV Serie "promoted" wird und dass es nicht mal für einen einfachen Inbusschlüssel für die Umsetzung des Clips reicht, trübt die Stimmung. Was noch ein wichtiger Punkt ist - der jedoch nichts mit der Bewertung zu tun hat! - ist, dass man das Messer wegen der Einhandöffnung nicht ausserhalb der eigenen vier Wände bzw. des eigenen Grundstücks führen (also dabei haben) darf. Wenn man das doch tut und dabei erwischt wird, hat man eine Straftat begangen. Keine Ordnungswidrigkeit mehr. Tatsächlich - leider - eine Straftat. Und das ist ernst. Das heisst nicht, dass das Messer nicht erstklassig verarbeitet ist. Aber bevor man eine solche Menge Geld für ein Messer ausgibt, das man sich nicht mal so an den Gürtel hängen darf, sollte man zwei mal überlegen. Immerhin - das Teil macht auch in der Vitrine einen mehr als guten Eindruck!Noch eine Anmerkung zu der "Straftat Geschichte". Ich weiss sehr gut, dass es den Paragraphen 42a gibt, der die Ausnahmeregelungen betrifft. Also Hobby, Brauchtum und Berufsausübung. Darauf berufen sich die Leute gerne, wenn es um Einhandöffnungen geht. Aber die deutschen Gerichte haben da ihre ganz eigene Auslegung dieses Paragraphs. Und selbst wenn Sie wegen eines solchen Messers vor Gericht landen, sich da auf §42a berufen - und damit durchkommen sollten... - die Anwaltskosten erstattet Ihnen keine Rechtsschutzversicherung.Zum Schluß noch eine Bitte in eigener Sache. Eines der besten Messer die ich gekauft habe. Stabilität, Haptik und Handling sind erstklassig. Fügt sich perfekt zwischen Emerson und Spyderco. Ich würde es wieder kaufen. Der Preis ist schon happig, jedoch hat das Messer, insbesondere die Klinge und der Framelock seinen eigenen Charme.

Mit über 300 euro ist das Zero Tolerance 301 mein teuerstes Messer, meiner meinung nach ist es jeden cent wert und ich würde es mir immer wieder kaufen;)
