Cycle trainer - bike mount - GREAT PRODUCT - compact to store
Great kit, easy to assemble, feels sturdy and safe plus compact to store. Different resistant setting great. Watched DVD,CAUTION - not sure if we (mum and son) did not read description clearly when researching trainers/mounts then bought this Tracx trainer but DO NEED a bike with a REAR WHEEL which has a HOLLOW REAR SPINDLE, to be able to insert the safety skewer, which goes through the rear wheel ! No hollow rear spindle - cannot use this trainer. We resolved that issue by having our bike rear wheel adjusted/altered to hollow style to enable us to insert safety skewer to firmly secure the wheel in place on bike mount. Now that issue resolved and rear wheel now has hollow spindle style - the kit is great and son has used significantly and as part of a rehabilitation programme for fitness then will use for general fitness, the trainer is able to be used, in house, in garage, on drive way or pack up and transport to sports hall or gym to use. Great trainer kit not dependant on weather to use so super and safe. Did buy a front wheel cup to keep front wheel static which is useful on a tile floor but not compulsory or necessary to use trainer just useful as young person using trainer. TRAINER OVERALL GREAT PRODUCE

Better than a excercise bike.
I bought the Tacx Blue Matic trainer for a proper cycle workout. The seven settings are pretty versatile and can give a steep climb if you want, plus you can use your gears. The frame is very sturdy and strong and easily supports the bike (Jamis Ventura Comp) even when out of the saddle. Quick release skewer is easy to fit and looks okay.Quite pleased with my purchase and this trainer gets close to the feel of real cycling but indoors of course. The pedalling action with the trainer is quite smooth, and there is hardly any slippage between roller and tyre.Noise levels and vibration are tolerable, but you would probably want to use this trainer in a separate room to as not to annoy others. The only issue I have is that my rear tyre has a worrying amount of wear after the first 45 minute workout, with black bits of rubber littering the floor under my bike. This is a smooth road 700c tyre and I wouldn't expect this kind of wear so soon. I've adjusted the trainer so hopefully with less contact pressure, this will subside.

glad i bought it
was up and running (well cycling) in no time. easy to put together. fitted my 700x23c wheels just fine. bike can be mounted and dismounted with ease. this doesn't come with a front tyre stand which is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars. so you will need to buy that yourself. i did find the resistance setting a little stiff to start with but that seems ok now.now finally i can use my own bike as an exercise bike. people have said to me that they don't find turbo trainers very motivational. I suggest getting a either a cycling dvd to go with it or listening to music and telling yourself you have to keep going until the song ends and then when another starts you have to get to the end of that song etc

Great turbo trainer once set up
Great turbo trainer once set up, once up and running works great especially at this price. Was a bit awkward to set up, the instructions compose of a few diagrams and words, probably ok if you are use to fixing bikes but one instruction was a picture telling you to swap the axle on the bike which is a bit daunting to the unfamiliar. But once set up offers a great rang of resistance without being too noisey

Just what i wanted
This is a good trainer ... no fuss easy to assemble and no non-sense straight to work, its best to keep the resistance on the trainer around 3 or 4, even though the resistance goes up higher however the screeching noise from the tyre starts to set in. Best to use the gears on the bike which give you a far more realistic resistance and ride.I found by placing a riser base to the front wheel made the level perfect and if you add two triangular blocks which can also be found on Amazon it gives you a sense of incline.

Very good product
Very smooth running, with little noise. This is my first turbo trainer and I am very pleased so far.The delivery was fine, no damage and considering the item came from France fairly fast.I would recommend this product

A lot quieter and more stable than the budget one I tested
After trying a friends budget well used turbo trainer I was nearly put off the whole idea due to the noise, but decided to spend a bit more and get a branded one which claimed a heavier flywheel, higher wattage output and less noise. And I'm pleasantly surprised to say all aspects are right. Minimal noise even when flat out (road bike with slick race tyres on) and a high level of resistance.

Tacx Home Cycle Trainer
Using Youtube videos to enhance my cycle rides I am really pleased with the Trainer. So simple to set up, even for a little lady like myself, and easy to fold up and store afterwards. Using my own bike is very nice and comfortable.
